The NHL, the stupidest League ever.
Just like the EBUG situation was fine until it embarrassed the Leafs...now it isn't good enough.
Well said.

Bleeding so what? Wobbly my arse. This is hockey not lawn bowling.
Everyone that’s ever played knows Carlo should’ve got a hand on that elbow. Let the league office handle it and get over it.
I didn't think Accari was traded, didn't he leave on his own, signing as a ufa ?Yeah it wasn't easy for him when he got traded, he was close with Marchy and the boys.
He talked about that in the Spitting Chiclets podcast few months ago, worth a listen.

I don't know if the B's offered him a contract, but I don't think he was traded.
It should read " back in the NHL. It's not just Toronto, it's the whole f***ing league.
If that had happened to a Leafs player you know Dadonov would have gotten 5 and a game misconduct...f*** these reviews.
It's people's responsibility to make sure they elect representatives that will take care of them.If you don't have sick days, like millions don't, just call your bank and explain your problem. I'm sure they will give you a break.
So at tomorrow's game I guess I should give the players my elbow instead of high five ....I always high five them as them come out to the ice.
That would only satisfy your primal instinct. It's up to the GM's/ Governors to stop this bs.honestly pretty tired of seeing Bruce with his little f***ing smirk every time we get f***ed over by a call or a cheap shot. Just once i would love to see him show some f***ing emotion that he cares and snap and blow up on the clowns in stripes .
There's a comment previous here on this thread that mentions how we should rotate our tenders in the playoffs.
My name is nORRis8, and I endorse this message.
What is wrong with you? Do you have eyes?
1) Carlo was BLEEDING
2) He was WOBBLY and needed assistance getting up
and escorted off the ice.
So your wrong on both counts.
That was absolutely a dirty play. I have never seen
a guy elbow a player with that force by "accident".
It was in no way an extension from a play with a
stick. He deliberately jabbed him with the elbow.
No question in my mind about it.
Double minor is not an allowed call for an elbow. Only allowed for spearing, head butting, butt-ending (for all three, if attempted, but no actual contact), and high sticking. roughing is not included, as two roughing minors that we call “double rough” are actually two distinct and separate applications of the rule, though they are treated the same way when a short handed goal is scored.
I don't agree, especially with how excellent Rask has been. You go with the hot hand and ride it. If Rask falters, and halak gets a shot and shuts the door, fine.
But it's the playoffs. You go with one guy whenever possible. Rotating is a sign of trouble.
Completely disagree that there was any intent behind it. He was trying to toe drag the puck which pushed his elbow back - if you stand up right now and try the same motion, there is no way you can do it where he was on the ice without getting your elbow back. It's a frustrating play and should've been 4 minutes IMO regardless of intent, but I would be surprised if there was any incoming discipline.
If you hit someone with your car and injure them the law is that you are supposed to have full control of your vehicle. Intent isn't really as big an issue as the result. He did look over his shoulder, he did knock Carlo out of the game and maybe even more. He should've gotten his ass kicked asap after. That didn't happen and if he isn't suspended it sets a precedent and proves that the NHL is full of shit in regards to protecting players from head-shots. If it were a Bruin who commited that foul he'd be suspended, no two ways about it. Double standards are a poor way to govern and IMO Jacobs should get involved as this seems to be a continuing trend.Completely disagree that there was any intent behind it. This isn't driving a car, intent does matter - for example, should the player that cut Boychuk's eyelid be suspended or penalized for not being in control of his skate? If you hit someone with your car and injure them the law is that you are supposed to have full control of your vehicle. He has games where I really wish he'd just shut his mouth and commentate on what's going on.I agree I didn't see any intent there either.
Speaking of which, Jack Edwards sounded like a complete you-know-what last night, went on and on over the elbow. Like give it a rest Jack. I've always tolerated Edwards, but he's been on a different level of annoying this year.
It all depends on the situation. If your main goalie performs better with a less heavy load... and your backup is more than qualified to win you bigger games when called upon... why not use all the options available to you. There's lots of positives on using all your options. Keep them alert so they can perform at their best. Including every player at every position.I don't agree, especially with how excellent Rask has been. You go with the hot hand and ride it. If Rask falters, and halak gets a shot and shuts the door, fine.

If players are responsible for their stick, shouldn't they also be responsible for what hold their stick? This isn't driving a car, intent does matter - for example, should the player that cut Boychuk's eyelid be suspended or penalized for not being in control of his skate?
Agreed he should, and he got a penalty for it, just like you would for an intentional high stick - you would never get a suspension for an intentional high stick just because the guy is injured. If players are responsible for their stick, shouldn't they also be responsible for what hold their stick?
To rotate throughout the year then have a guy suddenly play (if we go deep)...25 -28 straight games....ouch.
I mentioned a few weeks ago the thought of rotating at least in the first 2 rounds then going with the hot hand....a la Cheevers 1970
