I respect your opinion just can’t say that I agree especially with how much emphasis is put on avoiding and eliminating head injuries. What’s worse a bloody nose or concussion?
I guess what I’m saying is the refs didn’t think he was concussed.

The league will look at it. He hasn’t got away with anything yet

Love it. All class from Cassidy.

Acciari's having a great season but there must still be part of him that looks wistfully at the Bruins and misses what he could still have been a part of, a feeling that is likely only to increase next month.

Result of the game was just about perfect for Boston. Maintained the size of their lead in the standings, picked up 2 points despite not playing all that well, and allowed 1 for the Panthers to keep them just barely in touch with the Leafs and leave Toronto still at least a little worried. Just hope that Carlo is fine, really don't want any injuries in these remaining regular games that really don't mean all that much.

Hope Carlo is ok.This was a trap game and would have been happy to get any points. 2 is a bonus.Give up no ground and another game off the schedule.

I don’t care about the smirk when he’s 160-65-34 as the Bruins coach

he can give the refs lollipops for all i care with that record
I am glad he has that record but it would be nice if just once he blasted them.Saw it last year when Blues coach did it and the calls sure turned fast or lack there of calls.Anyways on to the next game.

Yeah it wasn't easy for him when he got traded, he was close with Marchy and the boys.

He talked about that in the Spitting Chiclets podcast few months ago, worth a listen.

It's been said a thousand times already but we are SO lucky to have both Rask and Halak. I think there should be a bit of alternating between them in this year's PO's. They get the best out of each other and even though Rask was immense in last year's PO's I think having both involved this year would be a HUGE benefit.

A beaut from Krug and Ritchie is bringing just what the B's needed.

Finding it really hard to keep my expectations in check, a lot of hockey to be played yet but damn the Bruins look so good right now.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Carlo.

What is wrong with you? Do you have eyes?

1) Carlo was BLEEDING

2) He was WOBBLY and needed assistance getting up
and escorted off the ice.

So your wrong on both counts.

That was absolutely a dirty play. I have never seen
a guy elbow a player with that force by "accident".
It was in no way an extension from a play with a
stick. He deliberately jabbed him with the elbow.
No question in my mind about it.

I hope Carlo is okay but at least there are a few weeks before the playoffs begin for him to recover, barring major injury of course. I am so tired of the Bruins getting the short end of the stick on these dirty plays. Last night was another disgusting display of ref incompetence. Anyway, two points to keep the gap 9 points and one scrap thrown to the Panthers to keep the gap the same between them and the Leafs.

I am really looking forward to tomorrow's bout - I think the Bruins were very distracted between the two big games against Tampa.

If that had happened to a Leafs player you know Dadonov would have gotten 5 and a game misconduct...f*** these reviews.

This is one of those ones that could have gone either way.

Lots of ebbs and flows in this game with momentum swinging both ways at times.

B’s did an excellent job withstanding the pushes from the Kitties.

Feels like one of those games they may have dropped in OT earlier in the season. Good thing they took care of business.

Quicker they can put a wrap on the division, the better.

Part of how they proceed with the remainder of the season depends on how they interpret 'wrap'. If it's simply a case of ensuring home ice in the first round, well they're 19 points clear of the Leafs (feels nice writing that) with only 28 left on offer. So realistically that's as good as done and even purely on the math it could be within a week.

Otherwise if they want top spot and guaranteed home ice no matter how far they go in the postseason, then beating Tampa is probably the key not just to the first but also the second. In which case the best formula is probably beat them in regulation tomorrow and make the gap 11 points (albeit with the Bolts having one game in hand), then push hard for another couple of weeks and hopefully if Tampa drops one or two in that time Boston will be just about there by the weekend of March 21-22, leaving a couple of weeks to cruise, schedule rests and tune-up for the playoffs. That would be ideal.

Bergy with a sneaky 30 goal season! Man this guy is so under appreciated across the league.
He better win the selke this year!
30 goals, team has the lowest GAA in the league, 1st place overall, give him the selke! Hopefully the playoff MVP as well

Opinions about “intent” for that elbow can go on all day long.

The fact is if you catch a guy with an elbow, and it causes a head injury, it is supposed to be a major by the rulebook. I’m still baffled as to how you can explain that only being a minor. Intentional or not.

Guys get caught in open ice all the time and incidentally take a shot in the head. It’s pretty much always a five and game. This was many times more egregious.
and I have to add if Brad Marchand was the one giving that elbow he would get suspended.

Someone better take a look at that elbow but probably won't.

Any news on Carlo ( I call him Monty) ?
