lmaoI hate to say it, but I think he winds up on Tampa.
Panthers
Hurricanes
Vegas - next season they'll come back down to earth.
Arizona
Buffalo
Colorado
Montreal
Detroit
Vancouver
Islanders - probably cause Tavares is leaving after the season is over.
I think he'd help turn Edmonton around so he'd accept a trade there & the passes Karlsson does will help their underperforming bottom 6 forwards produce more, if they find a taker for Lucic & with the cap going up Edmonton should be able to find a backup goalie to keep Talbot rested. Karlsson, Larsson & Sekera thats a good top 3 D-men for Edmonton, add Dahlin to that group & things are really looking up for Edmonton's D
he would be 1st, but I understand the logic behind his post Trouba, Byfuglien, Myers... the right side WAY too crowdedLol what
Zero need for EK in Wpg for so many reasons.
You'd think that one of those guys would need to be part of the package going back to Ottawa, no?he would be 1st, but I understand the logic behind his post Trouba, Byfuglien, Myers... the right side WAY too crowded
I see several people think the Kings would be on his no trade list, and to that I ask why? Think about it, the Kings are not trading for him (lack of assets, no cap space), so keeping them in the possible teams and adding a different team that he doesn't want to go to that might actually trade for him makes a ton more sense.
I hate to say it, but I think he winds up on Tampa.
I would love him here but just don’t see it. I would do Sergachev, Johnson, 1st, conditional 2nd later if he re-signs. I think the Sens would get way better offers than that.
0 need for Erik Karlsson in WPG?
Talk about arrogance. Funny what a stretch of wins does to a fanbase.
I meant that I think he'll sign with them when he hits UFA, not that they'll trade for him.
I don't think players think of that sort of thing. Or don't prioritize it anyway. The only real reason to put LA on there is travel in my opinion - but even then, I'm not sure if they should put LA ahead of Anaheim. Or San Jose, if Melker wasn't there.

Sure, his agent should be presenting a lot of scenarios to him, but if I'm the player it still comes down to what city and/or team I'd rather play for and move my city too. Even if its for a year, I wouldn't want to risk getting moved to a bottom feeder in a crappy city with a crappy rink. Leaving a team that you don't want to play for off the list because "they might not be able to trade for me" is a pretty big gamble considering how much it will affect his life.Shouldn't his agent be thinking that way?
Well sure, but that's a lot different than "not having room" or "not needing" him, which is what I was addressing.Jets can’t afford EK, plus our current D core. Myers, Kuli and Toby would all have to go or at least Toby & one of Myers/Kuli. We wouldn’t trade anything for EK unless he had a new reasonable contract this summer. EK signed would cost too much in young players to trade for imo. I wouldn’t aggressively go after him, likely kick the tires to find out the price and then walk away from it. Seen some crazy prices here being suggested.
