The Lucic comment was because he's very slow, and nobody should be pressured by him on the forecheck, yet here we are...
With his salary, probably only Florida could fit him in, with Ekblad out for the season
remember last year...Habs was out of playoffs,,covid bought then in by luck..and that d core was great in playoffs when it counted...
Hopefully we see the same in the playoffs in 2021...

Even if they send Byron to the AHL, the cap doesn't change. Because being on the taxi squad is the same as being in the AHL regarding the cap.

Florida would have to make a small move to fit him in. Wings, Senators, Devils, Kings could grab him within their current cap structure.

It would have to be a trade after he clears.
But I haven't seen enough of him to say we should, for example, trade Byron and Mete for him. I just don't know the player this year well enough. Byron is pretty useless imo. But Byron costs 1.1M less against the cap over the next two years.
So a Byron for Ghost swap may just be bringing in another useless player who costs 1.1M more against the cap.

No, the D was good in the Pittsburg series; they had a lot of issues in the Philly series with a team that wasn't just built on pure offense and nothing else...when the D is pressured in its own zone, that's where we see the biggest issues; our D can't maintain possession of the puck or move it out of the zone without the forwards doing it themselves cuz every Dman not named Petry or Romanov treats the puck like a live grenade...
That would be sick.....with Tuna-PD-Gally as your 3rd, potentially, this could be quite amazing.
Just need an upgrade at D and we are set for the playoffs

Not that i disagree that would be a nice lineup i think we all know the chances of Pd Bg and Tt getting the 3rd most playtime are zero

And this also inhibit the team offense. Lack of puck movement from Weber, Edmundson, Chiarot, Kulak and Ouellet creates so many problems for the team, in all three zones.
Theres no reasons for this forward core to struggle to maintain a GF over 2.8 since the Canucks games, it is very good.

We could use the D depth and he can move the puck. AV has them playing a disastrous system. Think he'd be better in ours
