If you could get Hall with an extension, what's the maximum number of years you would extend him?

He thinks Habs management have given up on KK or will never give him an opportunity because Danault is playing with Gallagher and Tatar tonight and not KK.
Tbf from everything we have seen so far its a fair assumption i have zero doubt that when Staal is available KK will be 4th in ice time among centers .

Tonight ? TONIGHT?

This hasn't ever happened before, amirite ?

He's a young player and Ducharme is just getting his feet wet.

I don't like the lines, but let's be patient and let things play out.

Kotkaniemi has been in the league for 36 months now, Kotkaniemi has paid his dues on the bottom 6, Kotkaniemi has shown he can produce more than Danault.

Being patient was in 2019, were in 2021.

If that happens consistently I will be outraged.

But I think Staal should be in the top 9 and I have confidence Duchsrne will realize the best way for that to happen is either Suzuki or Staal on the wing, not Kk on the winger KK on the 4th line.

Ducharme is not Claude.

Ducharme has been coach not even a month. He's tried some new things and sometimes gone with stability. Give him some time to work through things.

Look at it this way, if Tatar-Danault-Gallagher can keep it going, when Staal and Toffoli are back we could see Staal-KK-Toffoli...

I’d rather see Staal as a centre. I don’t think the team can rely on Evans at this point and I don’t trust him for the playoffs.

If Ghost had only 1 year left then yes, but he doesn't. Also cap wise, it's not possible.

No they don't.

4.5 million vs
1.85+2.4 million (4.25)

Anyways, I'm sure Flyers aren't even looking at a trade like this because it makes no sense to them, they likely have a bigger trade in the works.
I’m talking about Byron (3.4) vs Ghost (4.5)

I think it's more likely we see KK on the 4th line TBH with Staal in the top 6 or 9.

Drouin Suzuki Anderson
Tatar Danault Gally
Toffoli Staal Armia
Lehkonen/Byron KK Perry

that would be my guess and judging how KK is used, I think it's pretty accurate. I don't get why KK doens't get the top 6 minutes I think he deserved and showed he can handle but that's been the pattern so far. That being said, that is a DEEP lineup with size and skill on all 4 lines that you can roll where any line can be the #1 line on any given night.

Ghost is interesting. He looked so good a few years back and then got hurt and hasn't really been the same since. At one point the 4.5 million number looked like a real bargain.

He's obviously lost his coach's confidence and it's time for him to move on. But he does have talent and could very well turn things around elsewhere.

Would've been great if we could've swapped contracts with Philly to get him. I'd definitely trade Chiarot for him.

I think his pts production was boost with how good was Philly PP those years with Giroux/Voracek/Simmonds. I mean the year he did 65 pts, Giroux had a 102 pts season and Vorcaek had 85 pts.

His relative advanced numbers (5 on 5) were really good. It wasn't just on the PP.

He still does have the skill and speed level to at least be an good offensive top 4 dman on a team though. If the price is right, you might as well take a gamble on it instead of banking on big, slow stay at home dmen to have career years.

He has one 5v5 primary assist since the end of 2018-2019 season. I've posted before that Gostisbehere is probably hurt by playing under Vigneault, but unless you're expecting a PP specialist that can move the puck well that doesn't play defence, you'll be disappointed.
