They must be eyeing up a lefty.
Morton might not wanna run the bases anymore.

His beard game is outstanding.I'm really thinking they might be in on Keuchel. Which will have the fan bases in agony
I think I'd prefer McCutchen over Brantley. Marwin Gonzalez is another guy who'd be an upgrade in LF.
They definitely made the right choice there. Cutch is much better defensively and will provide a little bit more power in the lineup. Wouldn't surprise me to see them come back to Brantley if they miss out on Harper though. I realize he's a decent player but I just don't see Brantley being a significant upgrade over what they already have at this point.Apparently the Phillies preferred McCutchen over Brantley as well. I think it's clear that they read my material on this board

Also, didn't see it posted but I read today that the Phillies are aggressively in on Britton at this point.
With Corbin off the market and Happ reportedly all but a lock to go back to the Yankees, it could be Keuchel. They met with Boras to talk about Harper and Britton. Rumor had it Boras is trying to get the Phillies to take another one of his clients along with Harper, so that makes sense.

I'm starting to get a bad feeling that the Phillies will NOT get Harper or Machado but it won't be for a lack of trying. Segura and Cutch with Rhys back at first is a nice start and there are still plenty of players available besides the big two who could significantly upgrade the team. I just feel like the Phillies in some ways need that monster player/signing like a Harper or Machado to take things to the next level. A move like that sends a message to their own players, the rest of the league, and other players that the Phillies are legit again. This was from yesterday.

I see Boras had an hour long press conference earlier today and is trying to bring the Yankees back into play
Sounds like he wants to play out West. Philadelphia is just not a destination for Asian players.Yusei Kikuchi is a lefty and he's only 27.
Uhh, legendary outfielder, #99, So Taguchi says hi.Sounds like he wants to play out West. Philadelphia is just not a destination for Asian players.
I think they do that next year with Trout, who actually might want to play here.I'm starting to get a bad feeling that the Phillies will NOT get Harper or Machado but it won't be for a lack of trying.
