I’m guessing just like any other Minnesota professional team. Usually that consists of sneaking into the playoffs and getting housed in the first round. Middle of the pack draft picks, mediocre results. Lather, rinse, repeat. What is Minnesota Wild plan? Seems from outside there not good enough to win the SC. Are they trying to be a playoff team ?
They aren’t trying to get younger, they are trying to get a winning team. Don’t think you would find any objective Wild fan that would call Suter’s contract a paperweight, and at the end of the day Parise was still the leading scorer. The team has elite defense, solid wingers and great depth, they have 0 centers of quality but that is the only hole. Even with a full tank, which again isn’t possible with this D, it’s not like there is even an elite rated center available in this draft. Might as well shake things up as they did by bringing in motivated players, and keep the guys that have been successful on the team. Trying to win by committee is possible, while still searching for a center.
You should probably question your ability to read.Gotta question the “great wingers” argument.
Minnie has a great defense. I’ll agree.
You should probably question your ability to read.
He said "solid wingers". Is there anything else that you need me to read for you?0 holes besides centers certainly is a way to say they have okay wingers with their most proven being 33+.

Dude you are ignoring the fact Zuccarello probably already waived , & one of Parise, or suter agreed to waive & in term wild will protect Greenway & foligno.
It's not that hard. The fact you don't understand why wild did this is baffling. Zuccarello being out much of season, & I am guessing Seattle won't want him leaving an open spot
Not terrible to be honest, Foligno is a very good depth player. Only issue is that they could have signed this after expansion but I doubt they protect him anyway and if Seattle takes him then it at least saves Soucy and Greenway. He is definitely worth the price tag, but it does make things trickier when it comes time to re-sign a few key young players.
thats because it is his opinion, learn to read his comments gosh. *heavy sarcasm*None of that is "facts".
So basically the Kassian contract, for a somewhat comparable player in terms of age and play style, while ignoring that Kassian has a lot more offensive ability, and signed it pre Covid. Guerin sure is doing his best to cement himself as the worst GM in the league

Read what o said. Never once stated, I was giving facts. People use the word in many different instance.
That seems hyperbolic. This year will be make or break, though. If we come out of this year and have added a couple of studs like Kent Johnson and Luke Hughes to the young core of Fiala, Kaprizov, Rossi, I don’t think anyone will question that he has been executing his game plan pretty well.So basically the Kassian contract, for a somewhat comparable player in terms of age and play style, while ignoring that Kassian has a lot more offensive ability, and signed it pre Covid. Even that plan doesn't work as well when you're paying guys to become cap problems for your young coreThat seems hyperbolic. This year will be make or break, though. If he co to he’s to do that, it will become a problem, but the future core of this team won’t need mew contracts until Foligno is gone. That is, Rossi, Kent Johnson, Etc. And yes, I am willing is Kent JohnsonEven that plan doesn't work as well when you're paying guys to become cap problems for your young core
He is not well rounded. He has NO offensive ability whatsoever.Bigger number than I would've thought but this is the kind of tough, well-rounded player I'd love to have on my team. Good for him.
I think that's a tad extreme. He's not making 3.1 to be a 4th line checker. 40 point pace last season and it seems like his role is only going to grow. Considering the type of player that's plenty of offense if you're being reasonable. He is not well rounded. He has NO offensive ability whatsoever.
This Foligno contract really wouldn't be much of a detriment to a long play like you're talking about, but the Brodin deal might be, and the Spurgeon contract certainly will be.If he co to he’s to do that, it will become a problem, but the future core of this team won’t need mew contracts until Foligno is gone.
