So glad we signed guys like Wagner to multi year deals in the off season when you can just claim guys like Gemel Smith 7 weeks into the season for 60% of the cap hit for one year.

Dont forget Nordstrom also lol

I rather have Schaller than either tbh

This is an upgrade over what we have even if by just a little

Career Best in goals for a season

Nordstrom- 10
Acciari- 10
Kuraly- 6
Wagner- 7

Smith has played 77 total games and has: 11 goals.

so it would appear he has a better scoring touch than all 4 guys... and should force one out of the lineup daily specifically Wagner or Acciari

At least has speed. Sounds like a player from the TB or Leafs team... can he play tonight?

Talent Analysis HF future
Smith was one of the fastest players taken in the 2012 draft. He is an energy player that makes the Energizer Bunny look like a tortoise and is an annoying player, constantly in the opposition’s face. Despite lacking size he is physical and tenacious. His feet never stop moving and he wins a lot of battles by that virtue. Smith is a strong forechecker that can fly back to cover defensively. Most of his scoring comes from turnovers he forces. He doesn’t possess elite offensive skills but has some good passing ability. Smith won’t score any goals from far-out because of a lacking shot. He will need more bulk and strength at the pro level but not at the cost of his speed. He is probably better suited as a wing at the next level.

Sound like a Sean Kuraly clone.

Acciari the guy that has to go without a doubt.

Now the reality is he has the worst CORSI on the Stars with 37% and was playing 4 or 5 minutes a game his last few. Has 11 hits in 14 games so the big physical presence this board lives for isn't here.

Why stop there? The problem isn't the 4th line guys with 2 goals it's the guys below not able to score 5 on 5. Would it also "appear" he has a better scoring touch than all the guys below.

Krecji 2 Goals - 1 on the PP
Backes 2 Goals
Heinen 2 Goals -1 on the PP
Donato 2 Goals -both on the PP
JFK 2 Goals

That's 6 even strength goals between 5 guys on your 2nd and 3rd line over 27 games.
Maybe the new guy should move to the 2nd line.

Smith telling the Boys.
"Hey it isn't all that bad they told me I''ll get a chance to play between Marchand and Pasta"

Hmmmmm, maybe it's something to be optimistic about. Some twitter quotes from a Stars fans:
"insane. the kid had upside. id rather have him than underachieving dopes like nichushkin, faksa, pitlick"
"Should be Ritchie going."

Yeah, they sound like Bruins fans, don't they. I hope he is a big hit here.

all I know is it sounds like the kid gives an honest effort everynight. That's a great start in my books and if it sends Acciari to Providence its a really big win.
