Feels like the last 10-15 yearsYou are right, it's an hyperbole. In reality we are a middle of pack team and depending of the year, we can make or miss the playoffs by a little.

I disagree. If anything MTL owes Markov. Its not his fault MB suckedThis is an NHL franchise, not a charity. We could just as well sign the legendary Markov as a scout or a front office person and pay him $100k instead of $2M. The Habs have more legends than almost all the other teams combined. Do we have to give those players $2M for them to turn back up in Montreal? He's 40, not 35.
True legends would come back for free, not ask for $2M when you're completely washed up. If you truly love the sweater you're not looking at your wallet at the same time. Nice try Markov.
The main problem is the other 95% of the game where he'd be hot cat wizz.
Would you be ok with it if he were lukewarm or cold cat wizz instead?
Funny you should ask.
Seems the cat is undaunted by the wizz temp, according to this. However, one's mileage may vary if the same experiment were to be replicated on an NHL playing surface.
are we witnessing the birth of the WIZZOMETER?
I think he deserves it more than pleks for carrying the D squad for the better part of 2 decades. Anyone that can make mike komisarek look like a 5 million dollar d man is a legend.Get him here, make him play 10 games, give him a ceremony at the beginning of his 1000th game, and after that analyze his play and keep him if he’s helping the team, or make him retire as a hab if he doesn’t. This is Andrei mfkin Markov we are talking about here, if the habs were a classy org (which it hasn’t been for a while), they would do this for him, he deserves it.
The only thing that sucked was he was never replaced.why does montreal owe him ,they made him a multi millionaire ,nuff said.I disagree. If anything MTL owes Markov. Its not his fault MB sucked
Its too hot out today to argue what Markov did for Montreal. The only thing that sucked was he was never replaced.why does montreal owe him ,they made him a multi millionaire ,nuff said.
I'm not sure if some here are too young to remember how good he was(poor mans lidstrom) or are just wilfully ignorant. BEST dman the habs have had since chelios, and I include subban and weber. The only thing that sucked was he was never replaced.why does montreal owe him ,they made him a multi millionaire ,nuff said.
Loved watching him play. So efficient.I'm not sure if some here are too young to remember how good he was(poor mans lidstrom) or are just wilfully ignorant. BEST dman the habs have had since chelios, and I include subban and weber.
NO ONE will f***ing sign with us BECAUSE? Maybe, just maybe examples like Markov still resonate with available players? The only thing that sucked was he was never replaced.why does montreal owe him ,they made him a multi millionaire ,nuff said.

Who the hell cares. We're going nowhere this season.
Markov is a one of the very best Dmen the Habs have had in their history. If you don't think he deserves special recognition for that, you're a thankless fan indeed.
He's earned both respect and admiration. The current management are a classless lot, and this describes the Bergevin tenure to date perfectly.
I agree with this. He was the one guy that should have been shown a ton of respect but he didn't get it.I'm not sure if some here are too young to remember how good he was(poor mans lidstrom) or are just wilfully ignorant. BEST dman the habs have had since chelios, and I include subban and weber.

I thought Marky didn't have an agent. (apologies if I'm the 15th person who said this, I didn't read thru the entire thread).
The above jives with the way Bergevin deals with old timer Habs when he crosses them at the BC — he mostly ignores them.
Are you certain it's not the opposite?
