What is Markov's agent thinking, posting this video? Markov sporting the Habs's colors is not going to help his cause.

This video proves Markov was better off not having an agent. :sarcasm:

This short vid needs context. In Russia, all the offseason drills can only be executed after a hefty meal of sturgeon, boiled potatoes, cabbage, and a litre of Moskovskaya.

well to be fair his back skate into a turn > counter attack > outlet pass was really smooth.. and that top corner at the end was pretty sweet too :D

I thought he looked good in that video.
You can’t be serious? I thought the same thing as the twitter guy up there, i loved Markov, but jesus... that video looked filmed in slow motion, not only his hands, skatings are slow, his edge work and pivots are atrocious. I’m not even going to talk about the weak shots... i’m sad to say all this about him but that was a realy realy poor attemp to get attention. Markov is way better off leaving everyone with the last impression he gave us despite his age and injury, minus that 1000 games milestone than coming back for that milestone and get exposed so badly that the last thing you will remember from him is being a turn over machine, he might still be a smart player but the athleticism is just not there anymore, not for this level.

No idea what he could add to our Dcore at his age, worst case scenario he's a Bottom Dpair.
I would take a chance on him in a Heartbeat.
Of all the bums Bargain Bin has handed contracts to.......yet I doubt he signs the General.

I hope Markov comes back and plays well........but not for Bergevins piss poor squad, for an actual contending team.

But maybe old Purple Pants has plans for Streit, Weiss, Semin and Alzner.

Give him the max number that can be buried in the minors for free (1m?). Our d is literally that bad, that we could use him as a pp specialist, and if it doesn't work out, terminate the contract like Streit. We're running out of options here, and we're still worse than last year.

Yes he would be. He has aged for sure........but the left side in Montreal ? Laughable.

ha! I'm thinking of trying out.

Kulak is better, right here and right now and it's not even close. I'm not talking about prime Marky, but today's Marky. He'd be an Alzner-like liability with better passing but worse physical attributes and would get eaten alive in the current NHL.

Sounds like a perfect Marc Bergevin free agent signing. :sarcasm:

Might. Taking a small sample size to affirm something is very dangerous. Kulak looked good. But he needs to prove he can do it for 82 games. People already don't remember how Reilly looked good when he got here?

We should leave the Markov thing alone, Bergevin doesn’t deserve any chance at redemption. As for the main title of this thread, we’ll be debating Bergevin again in 12 months as he prepares for his TENTH season running the Habs roster.... that says it all for me.

I'd sign him one season, and I'd be sure to be able to bury him in the minors if it don't work.

Get your fact straights at least... He is preparing his 8th season, not 10th !
