This isn't surprising but McKennie is looking really good again. I tried to say Liverpool should sign him from Schalke but now it's too late. Cost would be way too high now and especially after this upcoming season.
I think McKennie is a little overrated. Not really sure what he does. Italy is the perfect league for him because he is too athletic for Serie A, but doesn’t really do anything stand out. Think he is in the best possible spot (for USMNT at least) for now

Virgil van Dijk probably is getting some minutes Thursday against Hertha Berlin. Robertson and Diogo Jota should be back in the squad then as well. Still don’t know if Virgil makes it back in time for MW1 but this is a good first step. Klopp isn’t going to rush him.

Memphis came off the bench and scored a penalty in the 3-1 win over Girona on Saturday evening, which earned him rave reviews for his performance.

Diario Sport wrote, “He came on the field, cheered by the fans, and the grass suddenly started to shine. Something happened with every contact with the ball. With number nine on his back, he showed Barca fans that he doesn’t want to be just another player. His penalty was sublime and flew almost violently against the ropes. As if Memphis wanted to say: Here I am.

“It has been a long time since a player with such an imposing body played at Barcelona. Memphis was everywhere on the pitch and felt at ease during duels with defenders. Every new player from Barcelona creates expectations, but Memphis seemed to have an immediate connection with the audience at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. This was a starter for what lies ahead at Camp Nou.”

Marca noticed that Memphis excited the fans, “They jumped from their seats at his speed, threat and dribbling.”

Mundo Deportivo spoke of a dream debut, “His substitution gave new life to Ronald Koeman’s team. He immediately gave an excellent pass to Sergi Roberto, who failed to finish. As Koeman already discussed, Memphis played with a lot of freedom as a striker. Sometimes he would drop deep and sometimes he could be found on the wing. It was a triumphant debut for him.”

I love the fluff.

Arsenal win 4-1 again, this time against Watford. Didn't watch, but Lokonga is getting lots of praise on twitter again, so that is promising. 18 year old academy product Miguel Azeez has also gotten some praise, scored a nice goal as well. Goals from Nketiah, Lacazette, Tierney and Azeez. Smith-Rowe and Pepe had assists. Nuno Tavares seems to have had a really bad game though.

Moura is having a fantastic preseason.

Yeah. He has looked really sharp. Don't think it will mean much when he gets up against good defenders, but would be great if it did. Impossible not to love the man even if he is oh so frustrating as a player.

Dele looked good. I guess we'll find out if that continues into the season. Also really liked Bergwijn's play.

Interesting that Elliott keeps starting at CM. Might be a midfielder now which is totally fine. Could see him starting MW1

LFC go down 1-0 on a set piece. Ascacibar scored but probably concussed himself in the process. Terrible set pieces defending from LFC

Berlin up 2-0. Serdar takes a circus right angle shot and it goes in. Milner at DM has been a disaster again. Just can’t stop any counters. As we said last time, if LFC are getting a new midfielder it needs to be a 6

Berlin 2-1. LFC. Great play from Tsimikas (who has been LFC’s best player this preseason) to create the chance for Mane

2-2. Minamino scores off a perfect backheel assist from Salah
