Going to be in Phoenix on vacation that week. Looking for a single ticket to the Feb 18th game vs Dallas and the Feb 20th game vs St. Louis. PM me if you are looking to get rid of a ticket, please and thanks.

Also, two question:1) If you buy an upper deck ticket, can you go down to the lower bowl concourse or are you restricted to the upper deck? Just curious as the Feb 18th game probably wont be sold out and I was going to see if there were any empty seats in the lower bowl...

2) I know its the wrong thread for this but if anybody has any golf course recommendations/discounts/coupons for the Phoenix area, PM as well. That would be appreciated.

Thanks

Answer to question 1 is you will only be kept out of the suite level concourse. If you get there early enough to watch warm ups (6:30-6:45) they'll let you go down close to the glass to watch. If you feel lucky, just pick a seat and stay there.

Been a while since I've done any golfing, but you'll be hitting a pretty pricey time. The greens fees come down when the temps go up.

Depends on which course you go to as well. I can speak for some courses in Tempe if you're looking for some inexpensive rounds to play. They're not spectacular by any means but they're fairly cheap. Being Arizona we grow Bermuda grass year-round, which goes dormant in the winter, and we plant rye grass on the fairways and greens but not the rough. Veer a shot into the rough and having to play your next shot out of the dormant Bermuda grass is pretty tough.

These are the current rates for my old stomping grounds, Ken McDonald and Rolling Hills:

http://www.golftempeaz.com/ken-mcdonald/ken-mcdonald-rates/

http://www.golftempeaz.com/rolling-hills/rolling-hills-rates/

Comparatively, if you want to play 18 holes after 12 p.m. in the summer, not only are you crazy because it'll be 100+ degrees out, it'll only cost you $15.

Just realize of course, if you do choose to purchase a cheap seat and then STAY down in the more expensive seats that is stealing.
Stealing from the club, cheating on the few people who do purchase their seats honestly.
A lot of people don't know better and hopefully will think before they steal.
Wouldn't it be great to walk in to Berge Ford, plop down money for a FOCUS and drive out with a FUSION because nobody was sitting in the drivers seat...I doubt that would go in the court of law...
Nothing personal to anyone...
Fans who do pay notice..the club is beginning to notice.

I've usually done some of each on a trip to Arizona 1 or 2 lower deck tickets and 1 or 2 upper deck, which was dependent upon my budget (and where I was staying). With an affordable vacation rental (preferred accommodations since I could have a "center of operations" for a week), I'd usually purchase all lower deck tickets, but I was purchasing for one. When I purchased upper deck, I'd stay upper since you can usually get pretty decent seats when only purchasing one ticket (they were usually pretty good at checking tickets once the game began from my observations).

Thanks to all for the posts. I examined those Tempe courses and will likely try to play one of them at some point. Just really excited, coming from a frigid Canadian winter, to get into a much warmer climate where I can wear shorts and a t-shirt all day long!

@Spirit of Lindgren

I understand your point and you are correct that assuming someone has purchased the seat, then another person purchasing a lower priced seat and sitting in their higher priced seats may not be looked upon favorably. But for example, I sit here now watching Canucks@Coyotes and I see pockets of empty seats in the lower bowl sides, late in the 3rd period. Would it not be better for those seats to be filled so that, for the tv viewer, the arena looks visually better than lots of empty seats? I understand also that people come late to games but by the middle of the third, I imagine people would be settled into their seats.

Obviously in Canadian markets, its not something that can be done but I have watched many coyotes games on TV and save for playoff games, I have almost always seen some pockets of empty seats in the lower bowl. I understand and respect your argument but if it is obvious those seats are not used (Empty through 1 or 2 periods) or unsold (Via ticketmaster website map), I don't see a lot of harm in sitting in them.

As largely a TV viewer of the team (I live in the Eastern U.S.), those empty seats don't bother me since I'm focusing on the game and only occasionally do the cameras pan the audience (I usually tune out during those times). The Coyotes are not alone in this, I have seen many of our away games (especially during the week) with pockets of empties on the crowd-pans (even games in Canadian arenas)

Do what you will and have fun since you're only catching a few games. Don't spend too much time on the golf courses, either there are so many other things to do in the area (especially if you have a rental car). Of course, I've never liked golfing, so I may have some bias

I guess what I meant to say is that the appearance of a sold out lower bowl may give the impression of demand/excitement to the casual tv viewer in the Phoenix area who may then want to come out to a game in person.

The coyotes I imagine are not a big draw for most Canadian teams, with the possible exception of Winnipeg considering the history there. The only Canadian teams I can think of that consisntely have empty seats are the Leafs (the first 10 minutes of every period, the first ten rows in lower bowl are empty as suits are eating in restaurants below the stands) and the Oilers (Consistently fielding a losing team for close to ten years now doesnt bode well for attendance). Still, almost every game is a "sell out", especially in Winnipeg/Montreal/Calgary/Vancouver

As for your golf tips, I respectfully cannot take your advice
Planning to spend a day at Grand Canyon, see the Red Rocks near Sedona, maybe do some hiking in Phoenix area, two coyotes games, maybe Suns/Spurs on Sunday, hit some outlet malls, and play a few rounds of golf!

If you've never been to the Grand Canyon, then go (on a shuttle or bus to save yourself some money). Otherwise, it's a waste of $30 (if driving) for a one-day trip.

Skip the outlet mall; consumerism is bad and outlets largely include rejected/returned products  Pick another hike instead (Sonoran Desert National Monument area--SW of Phoenix?-- is nice as are some of the hikes north of Flagstaff.

That text reply ticket buying is pretty cool. I got my tax returns back so I was looking for tickets for tonight, and the reply buy deal was better than stubhub or seat geek, and they give your tickets in literally 5 seconds via a reply text and email, and they're scannable. Pretty sweet.

Yeah I love the text ticket system. I've already bought tickets to 4 or 5 games with it. And like you said, almost always better prices than StubHub or SeatGeek.

In case anyone missed it, today they are offering $22/ticket upper bowl seats. You can sign up here. Just give them a card and then they will text you seat offers. Text them back how many, like this "BUY COYOTES 2" for two tickets. They will automatically charge your card and text you the link for the tickets.

I may have two extra tickets for tonight. They're in the Casino Club, Row B, seats 1 and 2. If you're a Coyotes fan the tickets are free. If you're an Oilers fan the price is $1,000 a ticket. ;)
If interested PM me. I'll know by noon if they're available.
