If Tennyson was gonna make the NHL, he would be playing right now. They have Stollery and Fedun up because they don't think he is worth investing in. These games would be the perfect time to give him a bit of seasoning - but they would rather give the ice time to a 26 and 27 y/o with almost no upside over investing more into Tennyson. I don't know if it is DW, TMac or who ever else - but the Sharks don't want what Tenner is selling.

Or they are rewarding Stollery and Fedun. Tennyson will be back next year since he's under contract. It's not always some kind of dislike. Lerg is up as well as a reward for his hard work.

Was at Sharks season ticket holder reception a few days ago for Q&A with Wilson. DW is very high on DeMelo and said he expects DeMelo to see significant NHL time next season. Called him a right handed version of Vlasic. Yes, really. :shakehead

He's said that about DeMelo a couple of times...if the coach has any say over his roster I'm thinking that "significant NHL time" is a significant overstatement and I like DeMelo more than some others.

Well .. rewarding Stollery and Fedun is good but not at the cost of punishing Tennyson doing well this year. Honestly that makes not sense to me. He was finally doing well and showing some confidence.

In all fairness, we have a glutton of bottom pairing D-man in Worcester. Demelo, Tennyson, KA, Fedun, Mueller (the way he currently looks like), Bergman (guessing how he will look like). They cannot play everyone on that bottom-6 pairing. I wish we had that problem with top-2 or even top-4 pairings.

Stollery has nothing to do with Tennyson, they play different sides.

As I mentioned in the Worcester thread (or maybe the Fedun recall thread) I think Fedun came up instead of Tennyson so the org could get a look at where he's at to see if he's worth keeping or not.

Oh my god what the actual ****.

Nice interview with BU's strength & conditioning coach; spent part of last summer with Sharks working/learning their development camp (and helping to put together off season BU program).

That's cool. Increases the SJ-BU connection even more.

Wasn't Tennyson the one who seemed to play even better in the NHL than in the AHL? Doesn't make sense that they'd remove him from a situation where he thrived.

I think they know what they've got with Tennyson (at least in the short term) and are trying to determine what they have in other players right now.

Braun came back from injury, no point in using him on the 3rd pairing with a boat anchor in Hannan when he could be playing in the AHL.

BU v. ND was a great game! BU wins 5-3 and will play Providence on Saturday in the National Title game.

O'Regan had an assist and didn't notice Ausmus much which is a good thing...Eichel was his usual incredible self.

Seriously, I didn't notice him until the second period, and that's because I started looking for him exclusively.

I saw one time where he kinda screwed up. He was coming around behind the net and kinda fumbled the puck about 5 feet from the net and BU gained possession. Otherwise, not much to note.

He wasn't used against Eichel but that's what you want out of a player like him...makes good stops, smart plays and moves the puck quickly.

London lost 5-2 and Bergman was a -4. McDavid had 4 points, pretty clear Erie wanted to play their top gun against Bergman.

I caught the first half of this game and it looked to me like it was the other way around.

Erie made London look like a peewee team.

I haven't followed Fedun, but he finished college, spent 2 years in the AHL and now on to the NHL. I really like what I saw. If he earns a position I'll have no problem with it.

I really like what I've seen from him too. He has a good mind for offense creation and isn't a huge liability, well so far. I would definitely be ok giving him a shot at consistent NHL minutes. Maybe make him a 2nd unit PP specialist.

I don't agree with this. They're rewarding some hard workers with time because the games are meaningless. Fedun actually has talent and can produce offensively. Some players take longer to develop. Even Boyle wasn't an NHL regular until his mid 20's. Fedun is better than Tennyson from what I've seen, which isn't much. Stollery on the other hand is simply up because they probably want a quick look at him.

I think Stollery has looked pretty decent defensively. Not great, but good given his expectations and consistent. He's not making boneheaded mistakes and he's making smart plays. He reminds me a bit of Braun when he first came into the league. Not saying he'll develop that way, but really all Braun had going for him at the time was he was quietly reliable.

By the time Boyle was Tennyson's age, he had over 100 games played in the NHL. By the time he was Fedun's age he had 160+. Dillion is younger than both and already has over 200+ games played.

These guys are capable depth players - but they will never be your next Vlasic. Playing them is treading water.

Bergman has been horrible in the playoffs, I'm a little dissapointed. Victor Mete has looked great.

Mete has been outstanding for the last two months or so, he looks like he'll be their anchor on D for the next couple of years and good thing 'cus the Knights gave up quite a bit to get him.
