I guess that's true.

But thinking there will be a much more even distribution of minutes between those 2 lines. Right now the Blueger line is playing as much as ES as the Sid & Geno lines. By then the distribution should be - assuming 50 minutes at ES - 15 Sid, 15 Geno, 10 Bjugs/Cann, 10 Blueger.

I agree, two 1st lines and two 3rd lines.

Theyll probably play similar minutes. Then you’ll see it deployed situationally depending on the game/circumstances etc

I was hoping to pick a cheap LW that would mesh with Geno/Rust to make a Kahun-McCann-Hornqvist line.

I’m pretending Bjugstad isn’t coming back or still has issues.

Yeah, Bjug should remain the 13th forward...

Who would the penguins black aces be this post season?

With Bjug, Kahun and Doom coming back.... that leaves 3 current roster players as black aces... so I mean Sully gotta have some trust in the depth lines though right? They played a decent chunk of the season due to injuries.

What do you think?

Realistically if we have Bjugs and Kahun back I think there's a trickling down throughout the lineup - to where the 4th line becomes playable again.

I also think the 4th line hasn't formed an identity because it was a glorified parking spot for Galchenyuk (not a 4th line guy at all) for like 70% of the year.

Addressing both as one...

First off, who's Doom? Dumo? Can we start calling Dumoulin Count Doom?

Anyways. Yeah, the guys are meant to be coming back and things will be a lot better once they do, but when judging on when to load up for a post-season run, you pack the roster because you're thinking "What happens if I lose this guy? What if I lose two dmen?" Guesses on what we'll need, need to run pessimistic.

As for trust... LOGiK, look at the minutes the 3rd pairing and the 4th line are getting right now, and tell me whether you think Sully really trusts them and likes seeing them out on ice?

I guess I'll see what JR pulls off, if anything. But I have no real desire to acquire more forwards. A faceoff specialist would be nice but we've already gone back and forth on that. Plus we do also have Riikola as forward depth. Maybe I take a charitable view on guys playing outside their natural positions...but I thought he handled himself well there earlier this year.

Defensively, if there's some way to finesse Schultz into a 3rd pairing RDM with cheap term, I'd do that. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Victor Von Doom was born decades ago to a tribe of Latverian Romani people under the rule of an unnamed nobleman called the Baron. Victor's mother was witch Cynthia Von Doomwho died by Mephisto's hand while Von Doom was young. His father, Werner, was the leader of the tribe and a renowned medicine man who kept his wife's sorceress life quiet in order to protect Victor from a similar fate. Soon after Cynthia's death, the Baron's wife grew incurably ill from cancer and Werner was called to the capitol to heal her. When she succumbed to illness, the Baron labeled Werner a murderer and called for his death. Werner escaped with young Victor, having realized the night before the woman would die. He goes on to die of exposure on the mountainside, cradling the boy in a final embrace and giving him his garments to keep him warm. Victor survived and, on return to the Romani camp, discovered his mother's occult instruments and swore revenge on the Baron. Victor grew into a headstrong and brilliant man, combining sorcery and technology to create fantastic devices which would keep the Baron's men at bay and protect the Roma people. His exploits attracted the attention of the dean of Empire State University, who sent someone to the camp.[49] Offered the chance to study in the United States, Von Doom chose to leave his homeland and his love, Valeria, behind.

I think they stole this plot from Jason Zucker's family.

You're okay with finding out deep into the play-offs that we're down 2 forwards on a night and will be dressing Agozzino and running a 5 minute 4th line against Tampa or Boston or St Louis?

I call him Zuh-ker. Like Sucker but Zucker.

I would think that's how it's supposed to be said. That's how I've been saying it. But watching the last 2 games all the PBP, Colour and TV guys are saying "Zuker", and it's driving me f***ing nuts. What is his actual name?

Wild announcers called him Zooker so I assume they know his name by now.

Sid apparently compared Zucker to Dupuis, you know Sid must like him if he's comparing him to one of his favorite linemates.

then Sid is going to have to start shooting a lot more, like he did with Dupuis, who couldn't finish 92% of open nets he had...
