Addressing both as one...

First off, who's Doom? Dumo? Can we start calling Dumoulin Count Doom?

Count Doom. @Randy Butternubs if you will.

so.. i remember before the trade I was like, I haven't seen zucker that much because I don't watch the wild at all and I don't see what the fuss is about. Oh and a 1st + a pretty good prospect + roster player is just too much. But so far I totally get it. Zucker meshes with Crosby to a tee and we needed this big time.
JR I'm not worthy...

Going to caution everyone right now...while I am sure he will be excellent going forward, lets not forget we have seen guys start off strong with Sid before, then falter... Hornqvist looked amazing with him and even McCann last year...

Hornqvist is more a Sid’s preference than not working out. Zucker is a better player than McCann too. Definitely smarter and Sid will like that he goes to good areas. He has Simon too who knows what Sid likes as well. Should be a good line. Simon won’t play the minutes to be there all game but then Kahun or Horny (or whoever) can jump in there for some shifts.

I see Horny rotating on Sid's line a lot more, which is typical in Sully's wheelhouse whenever Horny scores, he throws him back up with Sid for a few shifts, then he cools off, then he puts him back on the 3rd line or wherever. We all wish he would stick there and it could be a great trio of Zucker-Crosby-Hornqvist.

It's funny, Talbot and everyone were going on about Sid and his game being a straight line simple game, Hornqvist is like as simple as it gets for his game, he sees a puck, he takes the puck, he passes off the puck, then crashes the net. He's clockwork, that's like Crosby's winger porn.

Yet, yeah...

"mmmmmhhh yeah crash that net hard" as Crosby sips his wine.

Its the amount of pucks passed to the wrong place or just dumped in. Struggles to keep up with their skating too. It's a nice switch up option but I think less and less Horny looks like he should be on Sid's line all the time.

Hornqvist doesn’t have the speed or the smarts to keep up with Sid’s reads though.

I don't know exactly how Sid feels, but I'd venture to guess that Sid doesn't feel that Horny executes passes (either the passing or receiving part) cleanly enough through the neutral zone...thus stifling rushes.

It's probably still worth it for Sid to put up with it; if he's going to be spending time grinding in the offensive zone and getting pucks to the net obviously Horny is elite at that. But I think in the regular season he just gets peeved at the neutral ice play.

Hornqvist isn't fast enough to be the first forechecker, and Crosby doesn't want to skate that hard in the regular season. Hornqvist also doesn't think the game creatively at all, which is fine, but leads to instances where he's not ready for one of Crosby's passes.

Really this just says that Hornqvist and McCann were made for each other. Whether McCann is at center or the other wing.
