Who, quietly, had a very impressive season?

Did anyone talk about John Carlson? Seems the top-3 in D scoring (by a hair) drowned him out of the conversation.

After a rough start and 15 game injury Michael Frolik bounced back with a nice finish this season, it's amazing the stink Gulutzan put on most of the Flames players, just about every player improved away from him, If the Flames go deep this spring Frolik is my pick to be a big reason why.

Definitely Huberdeau.

30G 62A 92PTS good for 3rd most productive LW in the league.

I remember some Avs fan LOLing at me in like December when i said that Huberdeau was as good as Rantanen.

How i love being proven right.

Jared Spurgeon - Finally put together a whole season and had career highs in each category

Zach Parise - Limped to the finish (literally) but overall I think he exceeded most Wild fans expectations. At least it wasn't his back this time.

Kyle Clifford went from being nearly out of the NHL to one of the best fourth line guys in the league. It’s not a ton, but 11 goals and 10 assists for a Kings fourth liner is actually really good. Not to mention, he deserves an A on his jersey. Real happy for Kyle this year.

I'm going to nominate Valtteri Filppula. 72 games 17 goals fourth liner. Seriously I was expecting him not to get a contract last summer.

Impressive that he stuck for game 10 and beyond, and no one expected a nhl ready player but as the season went on, his struggles became more and more evident.
Also his season was not quiet. He was pretty hyped throughout the season

Outside on montreal, not so much.
Perhaps becuase he never scored outside of montreal.

A successful freshman season even with the end of year trail off. Much more to come.
