Thomas Greiss had an amazing bounce back year. It gets lost a lot with how Robin Lehner played.

Dylan DeMelo quietly had a good season for Ottawa for being a "throw-in" in the Karlsson trade

He has more goals than Karlsson, and had a better +/- than Karlsson for the entire season up until the last 2 games of the season. Still only a -1 on the Sens.

Price...despite HF claiming his career was over about 2 months into the season.

Most people would be surprised to see what his stats look like now that the season is over. Even more people would be surprised to know his on-ice play was actually better than his stats suggest.

33 year old Carl Soderberg set a new career high in goals with 23 (previous high 16), and was only 2 points off from his career high (49), despite being 4th in the NHL in SH TOI among all forwards and starting the majority of his shifts in the defensive zone. For what he brings to the team, this was a very impressive season.

Frank Vatrano had 24 goals, 22 of them at even strength and 39pts in his first full season (81 games). Signed a 3 year extension for $2.53 million AAV and was acquired for a 3rd round pick, BOS selected Jakub Lauko with that pick.

Was coming in here to post this after looking at the Panther stats. Was like WTF is this?

You really don't know what quietly means do you? The #1 pick and a Calder race leader (in a hockey mad market) all year does not do anything quietly.
It's ok for people to bring up Draisaitl and Guentzel with 40 and 50 goal seasons as quiet seasons in this thread but you point out that a poster mentions Dahlin who by the media sometimes isnt even referenced as a top 3 rookie.

Not really sure what you were watching all year man.
The Sabres...Eichel,Skinner, Reinhart who would you honestly put over Rodriguez after that considering he was one of our best PKers and had solid numbers despite not really getting any time on the top line.

So he was the best awful player we had? Wow congrats.

I think you posted before those 2 but you're right. They need to be shot down to.

For those of you doing the math at home:

That's a 25g 61p pace over 82 games.

From Andrew Shaw. And he looks like a 60 point guy too, not just leeching points from elite linemates.

Very impressed by his play this year

it was his healthiest season since coming to Montreal, and he still missed 20 games heh. Important thing was it wasn't a concussion.

Did his play while not shooting improve at all? I was bummed when Bruins dealt him (that shot!), but Bruins have a philosophy that rates “all around play” very highly.

5 on 5 he was a beast offensively but he was also on 2nd line majority of time and our 2nd line leaked a ton of goals so he wasnt as good in our own end.

He hits like a truck, has decent wheels and very selfish in a good way of shooting and not overpassing.

Feel with Q at the helm now, his all around game (but mainly defensive game) will get better. Signed a sweet 3 year deal and one could assume he will be a 20-25g/ 35-45pt middle 6 winger going forward. If we add Panarin he will be slotted on the 3rd line imo which is fine with me.

Our fans/board really like the kid.

Had no clue Gustafsson had 60 points, that is ****ed up so he's definitely one.

Huberdeau getting 92 points is insane and I had no idea.

Krejci's great season definitely gets overlooked.

Also another huge feat was Auston Matthews finally breaking 70 points.
