No, they get paid millions to play hockey.Yeah, they get paid millions of dollars to assume that risk.
I think more players need to just straight up run the goalies. More goals will be scored and the goalies will no longer be sissies in their safe space.Damn right. REAL MEN love guys getting their brains turned into gravy because some scrub can't control himself on the ice.
I prefer hockey when they just let the players hit each other in the head with sticks. If I can't tell that a guy has suffered some real severe brain damage, I just don't enjoy myself.
Oh. My apologies if my strawman was not an adequate response to your hyperbole.
Then why is everyone so surprised and using phrases like "for once?"
And in my post that you quoted, I said the same.Today’s “cancelled” culture is getting people’s entire lives ruined because of opinions. Someone who disagrees with you about a hockey hit doesn’t deserve to be fired, it’s sickening
I can't even....
So when a dirty player ends Matthews career you will be fine with it cause he "assumed the risk"
10 games doesn't send a message like 20 games does. 4th Suspension in 105 games. Could've been 5 with the borderline shot in game 1 of the SCF.
I don't think the player getting hit or punched injury history every comes into play with suspensions.Domi gets a 5 pre-season game suspension for a sucker punch to the head of someone with a concussion history, but Wilson gets 20 regular season games? Pffft
Apparently Parros has had to many hits to the head himself!

If you can’t see the game trending that way then I don’t know what to tell you
Wasn't Domi a repeat offender?I don't think the player getting hit or punched injury history every comes into play with suspensions.
What if, like in this case, it isn't a clean hit then?If it’s a clean hit it is what it is. Matthews doesn’t tend to look at his feet cutting across the trolley tracks though
Either did Sundqvist, he cut across the ice, shot the puck (was looking at the net) and gets smoked in the head, which is not a legal hit. Wilson had all the opportunity to lay a clean hit, but he didn't. He hit the head of a guy whose head was in the same height and position the whole time.If it’s a clean hit it is what it is. Matthews doesn’t tend to look at his feet cutting across the trolley tracks though
