Well, I think it's overly harsh. We've seen players willingly break other players' legs and end careers who have received less punishment.

And why Liverpool should be punished is incomprehensible.

The guy made a mockery of the sport in front of the world.

Hey Guys

I know nothing about soccer but am currently tied for second in the World Cup office pool.

I would really appreciate commments on the following matchups

Colombia vs Uruguay - Is Uruguay in big trouble without the biter?

Costa Rica vs Greece - Is CR the real deal? Can they win one more?

USA vs Begium - I don't want to go with USA but I have a feeling that I should?

Thanks :)

I think the distractions are going to get to Uruguay, and that Colombia will win going away.
Greece plays such a boring, defensive style, wouldn't be surprised to see this game go 0-0 and to penalty kicks. Still think that Costa Rica will win...they are on a mission.
Americans are good, but I think Belgium is better right now. I expect Belgium to win by a goal.

Nervous, nervous, nervous. Flip side, going to go watch the game with my Dutch grandfather! Should be fun!

Right on.

Im stuck in Fort Macmurray at the moment but I've got HD in the hotel.

So the Mexicans are the underdog according to the panel.

So. That James Rodriguez is pretty good eh.

I has Columbia as a dark horse from the beginning.

I think they beat Brazil.

I would not be at all surprised if Colombia beats Brazil. Imagine how dangerous they would be with Falcao? Still, they beat a Uruguay team that was not the same without Suarez (and lost badly to Costa Rica without him). Brazil will be a much different challenge. This contest has the makings of the game of the tournament.

And 1-0 Mexico. If Mexico can hold on, there will be a lot of (justified) complaints about the fouls on Robben.

I think Brazil's squad is horribly overrated. Colombia don't just beat Uruguay either dominated them. I think they had 75% possession up until their 2nd goal.

Cuadrado is better than any forward on Brasil but Neymar. The mid field is deep and organized. Insane pressure.

Jackson Martinez is not much worse than Falcao. Look at his oak returns for Porto. He's a goal machine.

James is currently the best player In the tournament.

Should be a doozy match.

Gross dive.

That's why this sport can't get off the ground in North America.
