He was never "slow" his first steps just aren't that great.

I wasn't offering the quotation as evidence of anything; I just thought it was mildly amusing, given the discussion here. Commentators say all sorts of stuff.

i'm wondering what they don't see in either Fox nor Blomstrand that they aren't worthy of being tested at the next step; I know Blomstrand's +/- is bad but he seems to be repeating his offensive #s from last year and should get some coaching under Green.

You gotta give Jimmy Boy some credit with his drafting so far. There has been the Stewarts/Petit but there have also been the Tryamkin/Gaudette/Olsen/Brisebois picks as well. I've been really impressed with Gaudette.

Certainly, these are likely the players we should be trading for other teams' "soon to be waiver-eligible' castoffs... Unless Benning is forsaking the first round all together.

Nolan Stevens is pretty intriguing. Big kid who can skate and makes the right decisions with the puck, goes to the net, but isn't a big mean physical player. I think he could add some weight though, give him another 1-2 seasons and we'll probably see news about NHL teams approaching him.

Why would they wait? I mean I can't claim to know anything about the kid, but based on what's been said here, and his numbers this year, wouldn't he be worth at least a 7th round pick? (or higher).

From what I've heard, Vancouver is where Stecher wants to be.

I don't know what I was thinking, yeah they could draft him and have his rights. He's already played 2 seasons, teams could wait after this draft and try to sign him, especially since he only has 2 more seasons to become a UFA and sign with the team he wants.

Zalewski is having a nice season in Utica....does he have a shot with the 'Nucks or has Granlund rendered him redundant?.....maybe the most improved prospect year over year, and still only 23.

I think he's got a shot at a permanent bottom six spot next season. His game has really improved this year.

Still my favourite gif of the year

Different note
Boeser and Demko
Dang, our college scouting is impressive lately it seems
Even Gaudette isn't doing too bad

Move that guy to Director of Amateur Scouting and fire Delorme (and Weisbrod) in the process?

How are the teams that hold the rights of McCann and Virtanen doing? Once those teams' seasons are over we can send them both to the AHL.

Calgary (Virtanen) has clinched the playoffs and is 4th in their conference (so likely to get to the 2nd round).

Sault Ste Marie (McCann) has also clinched but are 7th in their conference so not likely to get out of the 1st round.
