So is Gulas actually bringing something to the team? Because I don't think he is.
I did see him out in final minute... I don't think guys like him and Zohornas can keep up with big 5 personally. Kovar and kubalik have both been great since he joined

I can say Gulas looked completely lost and very slow today. He was far behind Kovar and Kubalik in his line . QF match will have faster pace, what he'll do there? Move him to 4th or replace him with Chytil.
They really need Chytil somewhere in that bottom 6. I can think of 3 spots he could fill... 4C with repik and jaskin is my preference. Palat was awesome all game... Deserves top 6. He can keep up with pace, doesn't take stupid penalties and carries play forward.

So I would go with no Zohornas... Switch jaskin and palat and put chytil at 4C. Our Italy lineup.

What I don't know is which goalie I'd take.

???

I'd take Francouz over Bartošák. But it's really hard choice.
It really is... I think Francouz is better but Bartosak beat the swedes and swiss and only allowed 2 from Russian All Star team. He allowed 4 today but I'm not sure any where bad?

End of amazing group stage, it was pleasure to watch our team play. We averaged 5 goals per game, 5 players in the top 10 right now (Voráček, Frolík, Simon, Kubalík and Hronek, who also lead defensemen in points). Also Kovář, Vrána, Řepík, Gudas with great performance (whole team played great). It looks very good and I hope we finally made it past QF and win some medal. We just need to get rid of the PK, score some goals in PP and sometimes calm the game down. But I think we have very good chances this year againts everyone from the other group.

we have very very good chance to be 2nd best team after group stage
if Russia will stay 1st (need 1 point versus sweden it's very realistic) and Canada won't destroy USA with many goals scored

1st. ...Russia, most points
2nd ... CZE will have 18 points, score 39:14
3rd ... CAN (if they will win versus USA) 18 pts, score (we will see :sarcasm: )
4th ... the rest SWE, USA (won't be better than us even if they'll defeat Canada)

because format has changed this year, and if we will go through QF we will avoid team Russia in semis. that's perfect. this year in semis best team after group phase plays with worst etc.

I think we will play against USA, which is quite ride or die match, because they could absolutely blow as away but the way they played here it’s more likely they will be vulnerable and beatable for us.

Good achievement, on the other hand we also allowed way more goals than Russia or teams in weaker A group, we compensated this perfectly though. :thumbu:

If the Sharks would drop out of the Stanley Cup race tonight against the Blues: Would it be possible to get Hertl for our QF game or at least for our SF game in case we win our QF game? He is having his best hockey season so far and would be a world-class addition in any of our lines (maybe the second line, because the first line works really well so far).

Roster is full for like a week.

Riha is old school coach, he wouldn't risk it with Hertl. Maybe someone like Pesan would try it. But Riha no way.

Hertz would be great but this late it’s risk for every coach on any team, no one knows he can he implement in our lines or ruin existing chemistry.

You mean the great chemistry we have on our 2nd and 4th line? 1st and 3rd line shouldn't be touched in my opinion. For the rest however I don't think it will be a big influence, if one player is added. Swiss did the same with Nino.

Frolik- Simon - Voracek
Palat - Hertl - Repik (/Vrana)
Kubalik - Kovar - Gulas
Jaskin - Faksa - Vrana (/Repik)
