It does. But it was in his rights. He used a clause in his contract. Cant blame him for wanting to stay here. He loved it hereIt sucks Kadri vetoed the Calgary trade.

Cliff notes 2 : Barrie is awful !Brodie is awesome. IIRC we tried for him first before settling for Barrie and OMG what a difference between those two.

Kadri on this team right now is exactly what we need. Kerfoot is exactly the player we wanna get rid of....
Are people watching Kadri this year? Kerfoot has been better.Kadri on this team right now is exactly what we need. Kerfoot is exactly the player we wanna get rid of....
The oilers think Barrie is good ahah. Just because he can pass to mcdavidCliff notes 2 : Barrie is awful !
Other than the fact that Brodie and Gardiner have nothing in common, it's a great comparison.I can’t believe people were saying to expect a Gardiner type player with Brodie. And Gardiner at his peak here was good (outside Game 7s) but he wasn’t the steady, defensively calming presence Brodie is.
Yes and no. Had the trade gone through Babs might still be the coach. It sucks Kadri vetoed the Calgary trade.
His salary went to Markstrom. How the F did Calgary let this guy go? He has been nothing short of a defensive beast. Made Draisitl his bitch this series.
Make an award for excellent defensive d-men (not bad d-men who are good at offense) and give it to Brodie! The TJ Brodie Award!
Whoa now, let's take it easy. The voters still haven't figured out the Selke yet and it's been decades. "Best defensive defensemen award goes to...Erik Karlsson!"they really should have two awards for dmen, one offensive and one defensive.
In 10 years after Brodie has retired and taken some nice vacations and time for himself, I hope he comes back as a coach in some regards. What an absolute beauty.
