As great as Ware and Miller are, the interior monsters make that defense go.
yeah, they dominated maybe the best interior line in the league and stuffed all runs there.

Dominant almost doesn't do it justice. Congrats! One hell of a defense. Can't wait to watch the Pats open the season in Mile High next year (probably) *fart*
Also aqib just told his wife he was gonna boink her in front of everybody, not sure how well that's gonna go over with her
I can't help but feel there's a racial component here. I've seen Tom Brady and Mike Krzyzewski scream until spittle is flying from their mouths at refs when calls don't go their teams' way, but that's cast as being a "leader" or being "competitive".
Tonight, the worst I saw from Newton was on the final drive, when there was a questionable late hit in the end zone after he had gotten rid of the ball...that's it. But Newton is "cocky", and that makes this bad.

To your first sentence: are you expecting Newton to be smiling when his team is losing? The only people who smile and act goofy when the team is losing are characterized as losers, people who don't care, etc. What is your realistic expectation of Newton?

If you look at Newton's antics and feel yourself getting angry, you really should ask yourself why.
Broncos defense played better than any I've seen this year, but given how their offense played, I can't help but feel that this was a game the Panthers could have won, even with the dominant performance of Miller and Ware. Manning was very bad, outside of the 1st drive they were never a serious threat. Congratulations to Manning/the Broncos.
I didnt like the incomplete call but cmon....
rubbing the other team's face in it
stealing jerseys and banners from opposing team's fans.
Whatever, I don't care if he scats and be-bops all over the field when he scores.
When has he rubbed the other team's face in it? He dances for the fans. He points for first downs. He gives kids his TD balls. That's not taunting. It happens every other down in the NFL.
Seriously, this again? A Panthers fan waved a banner at him and he playfully tossed it onto the field. Who cares even a tiny little bit?
It sounds like you do.
They call it the No Fun League, then someone comes along to make it fun and people get the knives out. It's as bad as Ovechkin in the NHL, and now that I've written that I realize the similarity really is striking.
I actually dont care, whether you believe it or not. This is sidetracked. All I'm saying is, if you want to start talking about why people dont like him, there's plenty to go on that has absolutely zero to do with his skin color. His being black doesn't dictate his behavior any more than me being black means I can't be posting on a hockey message board. When has he rubbed the other team's face in it? He dances for the fans. Because when his team is winning he's all smiles and dancing, rubbing the other team's face in it, stealing jerseys and banners from opposing team's fans. But when his team is losing he sulks and hides and stalks out in the middle of press conferences.
Whatever, I don't care if he scats and be-bops all over the field when he scores. But you can't call for all the attention and glory when things are going good and then run away and hide when things are not so good.
and as a black person (well, half) I'm kind of ticked off that you would equate his race with his immaturity. Steve McNair wouldn't act like that. There's nothing racial about it. People dislike him for some of the same reasons they dislike Jay Cutler and Cutler isn't black.
Coach K and Brady have the hardware and equity. Cam doesn't. Simple as that. Plus Wolfe's hit was clean. Like Robo said, you wanna flex and talk trash? Prepare to get it returned on you and learn to deal with it. It has nothing to do with race. Jay Cutler and Tony Romo get crushed by the media for being "losers".
It has nothing to do with race. It's about being classless, having no respect, humility or humbleness, its about Cam being Cam, which means, me me me me me. Cam would be the first one to rub it in your face that he won, not his team, him. Cam beat the Broncos, Cam got that first down, Cam got the TD, whether it's him saying it or him taking forever to get to the sidelines after he scores, or whether he acts like a sore winner. He got served up some humble pie today and acted like a sore loser. Russell Wilson didn't get up and run away after he lost, neither did Tom Brady, or Kaepernick, or Rodgers, or Roethlisberger, etc. The reason people can't stand his ass is because he acts like an entitled, bratty, child.
And really, we're going to bring up Tom Brady? Yea let's bring up Tom Brady. He throws hissy fits on the sidelines and people get up in arms about it. It's probably a 60-40 split of people that can't stand his ass too. Is it because he's white? No, it's because he has a habit of acting like a child when he loses himself. He probably does get a little bit of leniency from some people though it's true. But that's because he has been there, he's won, a lot.
Of all the positions on the field. It's up to the QB to represent his team, he's the face. He needs to be professional and act like he's been there before even if he hasn't.
Do I expect Cam to be smiling and having a good time on the sidelines while his teams losing? No. But I do expect him to have respect for the people he's played, his fans and the people that have gotten him to where he is. I expect him to show some humility and act like a gentlemen when he loses, ESPECIALLY because he acts the way he does when he's winning. He's a baby. Plain and simple.
Cam Newton definitely doesn't take losses well, but who didn't know that?
Not everyone can handle themselves with the class and grace of Russell Wilson, but there is something to be said for somebody thats actually human.
I mean did you hear Peyton Mannings 2 post game speeches? The guy had an ad memorized and repeated it word for word twice. Gonna go kiss my wife and kid? Check. Thank God? Check. Cap it off by mentioning the smooth taste of budweiser? Check.
So the two biggest questions people had about the Panthers in the summer (OL and WR) show up today in the biggest game of the season. They did so well up until this point. Damn.
The Broncos D is on another level though.
I said it in week 10 and no one wanted to listen to me. But Newton and the Panthers just didn't strike me as a championship team.
I'll admit I had to eat crow a few times with Carolina this year but at the end of the day when your leader is a giant baby, and your receiving core consisted of Greg Olsen and Ted Ginn Jr? Yikes. Glad that smug ass team lost.
As much as it pains me to say it, congrats to Denver for having an all time defebse , and to hopefully put Manning out on top.
