[mod]Looking for advice from regular people who have spouses:

GF spent almost 200$ on Sens/Leafs tickets to watch them at CTC in March. I’m pleased she thought of me but I am upset Eugene got that money from her, and let’s face it the Leaf games are a shitshow. Especially when they jack the prices up so much. I could sit on the glass for another game for less instead of being up in the nosebleeds with the riff raff for this one. Would I be in the wrong to try and get her to refund those? I don’t really have an interest going to these games, I’ve been offered free tickets multiple times and have refused.

Go to the game. She was just trying to do something nice and sometimes in a relationship you should do things you don't necessarily want to do if it is a small sacrifice that makes them happy.

Good input. But in the same way I feel bad that she paid so much for this product. 200$ to watch the Sens get smoked by Auston Matthews and have to put up with stinking Leaf fans.

Melnyk will probably get his sell out anyway with all the Leaf fans. Might as well reduce the number of Leaf fans at the game by taking a couple of tickets from them.

Just because of the behaviour of the Leaf fans in attendance, I stopped going to Sens games, when the Leafs were in town, a number of years ago.

I would suggest you exchange them for another game(s) or pass them on to someone else ...... not me, as I would refuse them.

It's almost 2019, and I still have so many unanswered questions!!!! I haven’t found out who let the dogs out...where’s the beef...how to get to Sesame Street... why Dora doesn’t just use Google Maps...Why do all flavors of fruit loops taste exactly the same, or how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop......why eggs are packaged in a flimsy carton, but batteries are secured in plastic that’s tough as nails...what does the fox say... why “abbreviated” is such a long word; or why is there a D in ‘fridge’ but not in refrigerator... why lemon juice is made with artificial flavor yet dish-washing liquid is made with real lemons... why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections... and, why do you have to “put your two cents in” but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts” where’s that extra penny going to... why does The Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same tune... why did you just try to sing those two previous songs... and just what exactly is Victoria’s secret? and where is Waldo?... Can you hear me now?...and do you really think I am this witty?? I actually got this from a friend, who stole it from her brother’s girlfriend’s, uncle’s cousin’s who lived next door to an old class mate’s mailman.

It’s just me but I look at it as a gift from someone who loves you. I wouldn’t ask for a refund or anything I’d take her and try to have a nice night. Maybe do dinner beforehand and just go and try to have a nice time. Ignore the knuckleheads if you can.

In France, they sometimes have naked ladies in commercials for yoghurt.

Classy naked too, not dirty or degrading or anything. Granted using naked women to sell stuff isn't great, but it really exemplifies the differences in cultures.

As long as they are not selling XXL Depends .. I'd be open to it

Go to the game, because there is probably a 1:20 chance that AusteeWeeWee gets his shoulder separated once again on a Boro/Falk hit, and it being just before the playoffs, surrounded by 15K Leaf fans, the euphoria would be priceless.

I'll be direct: if you think you can actually enjoy the game then go. If you think you won't be able to have fun, you might want to have a chat with her about it.

She wanted to make you happy and got you something she thought you'd really enjoy. At the end of the day what really matters is that you have fun, both of you, together.

If you think the likely outcome, Leafs destroy the Sens and being one of the few Sens fans around, will be an issue, explain to her that normally this would be a fantastic gift but that the current context means you might have a really bad time at that particular game. It isn't about the present, it's about you and you being open and honest about your state of mind and putting her's in the equation.

Selling my PS4 and all games.

I get someone who wants to pay me the asking price + 150 for me to ship overseas to their child who is overseas.

Anything I should be weary about? I can't believe I'm saying this, having been wheeling and dealing on the Web since 2003, but I'm a bit worried about scams.

I'd wager its a scam. When they offer more than asking right away, something is fishy.

That being said, if they offer to send you the money first (and you have it in hand), then go for it.

Depends if it costs a lot to ship overseas. Not sure why they would want a North American System.

Good point! Really fishy.

Plus I got a whole bunch of texts from sender saying "BitBounce autoresponse". Man, the Web just isn't what it used to be, it was good while it lasted I suppose.
