It is a long season and those picks will come in handy. Gives us 7-2nds+ 4-3rds+4-4ths+6-5ths and prospects. We need top C, C or RW, D for starters. Duhart is a bottom 6 on this club. Hope he can play C and win some draws.
Good luck Nick. DD keep the deals coming need that C and see how that develops, go from there. Thomas and Jenik to get strong down the middle. Both teams need picks, Niagara has 1-2nd and Hammer has two.

No comments on last nights game?
Yeah, as presently constructed, and what we would have to pay out in picks / players, I see no "this is the year"! All of Sudbury's goals were quality goals. Don't need a lot of shots, just make the one's you take count. Don't blame the goalie too much, a different tender might have stopped one of em.

Still their is no team that is that much better than us that we can't improve and start to develop as a team. We haven't even played up to our potential yet. Let's give it some time and see if Lazary can get these guys going. DD needs to get a C that compliments his top 3 and if not this year when do you get another chance with quality guys gone. Lennox is the key, he has to get into form, so far it looks like he is fighting the puck, kicking out rebounds that can't happen on any team.

He wont be 1st line long. My guess is it was easier to ease him into game action with the Coles than anyone else considering he had no practice time with the team.

This was a total BS trade to send an asset for picks and flip two kids who didn't want to be where they were. We got nothing but picks in value... a BAD trade!

Throw Jenkins or Baber up there if you want to try someone new or even one of the rookies. No disrespect but to get playing time like that you should earn it......not be given it because you are the "new guy"

Giroux/Jenkins/Baber will be back up there before too long. It was one game. Duhart hadnt practiced with the club yet. Makes the most sense to play him with 2 guys that can carry the load and make plays on the fly. I think he would make a good center between Goldowski and Katic personally. Play Giroux with Perfetti and Coskey and Baber with Jenkins and Cardwell if the Busdeker defense experiment continues.

As for the trade, I think we did fine. Porco is a black hole possession wise in the offense. Coupled with his bad attitude he needed to go. Honestly surprised we got that much for him. Besides his speed his game hasnt improved in 3 seasons.

Trade gives us picks and Duhart who can maybe turn things around in Saginaw. He won 9/12 draws. How will the lines look?
Perfetti-Baber-Coskey
Giroux-Jenkins-Busdeker
Goldowski-Duhart-Cardwell
Bloom-Bulovs-Katic/Codd Acquiring that number one C would tighten up that top 6.
Edit-added acquiring

Long term maybe. Bloom is gone now to U-17s with Punnett.

Both goalies shined last night Silovs and Frappier. Saginaw once again absent for 50 minutes and tries to pull one out of the well again.
In a way poetic justice that Porco bangs home a shoot out goal.

Just heard that Lennox reaggravated an injury he has been dealing with.

Picking up a forward says the insider? Any preferences?

Someone to play between Perfetti and Coskey would be my preference. Or move Jenkins up and someone to fill his spot. Build a 2nd line around Giroux and some complementary pieces.

With an import card open I like Jan Jenik's game CL. Pekar is another import CR, price tag will be less than Thomas, Kaliyev, Tomisino, Noel etc. Hillis C would work?

7-2nds+4-3rds+4-4ths-7-5ths is very good since all the picks we used last season. Plus prospects and see if we can for example work a deal with Oshawa. Cardwell+Smith 4-2nds+2-3rd 2-5ths for Noel+McShane,
Next year they get back Perfetti+Millman and those picks come back with 03 or 02 prospects, a win win situation.
Leaving 3-2nds 2-3rds 4-4ths and 5-5ths to still get a D and ? before the deadline.
