I don’t think you could have asked for a more solid performance than the two of them have given us to this point...give us a chance to win night in and night out and that’s all I was hoping for going into this year.

Only 4 teams have given up less than 100 goals this far and the Islanders are one of them. Who would have believed that?

Interesting fact about Greiss, he's 74-44 -12 since he got here. Probably one of the better records in the league over the last few years.

Don't know why, but he had that horrendous year last year. The last 2 seasons for the Isles prior, he was excellent. So he's had 2 1/2 excellent seasons for the Isles and one horrendous one. So I'd be willing to venture that the one bad season, was just that, just a very bad season and not normal for Greiss. This is Greiss' career with thhe Isles.

As you can see, outside of last year, he averages around 2.50 and .920 sp. That's pretty damned good. Great comeback season for Greiss so far.

Nice to see some stability in the net for the Isles. You've got a thing going for yourself and it's nice to see losing Tavares didn't affect you much. It maybe even made you better, because now everyone know they have to step up their game and contribute to the win.

Lehner has a slight lead in stats, with what, 5 fewer games played? I like both Greiss and Lehner, but I hope Lehner steals the starting job.

Lehner was dealing with injury earlier so Greiss took the reigns in his absence. I prefer Lehner too.

I think this will happen. With the way things are going now, for every bad game Greiss has Lehner will probably get the two next starts. Greiss has been excellent, but when he he goes bad he goes real bad.
