ya because you have been rebuilding since 15 years, Mtl almost doing better with a quick retool. That's why I'm saying your drafting scouts are terrible.

Calgary has never completely torn it down for a rebuild. They tried to be competitive every year, which is why they never drafted in top 3. As a fan I respect that, and now they are good because of their drafting

I’m from Montreal and they are actually my 2nd favorite team but just so you know it’s fans like you that make them one of the most hated teams out there, with Toronto

Ok what?!? The Pacific is the weakest division in the NHL? You do realize the top 3 teams in the Pacific are all top 7 in the NHL right? Including The Flames at 2nd overall?

The Flames losses to Montreal were early in the season when they were still getting used to a new coach, systems and players etc.

I wouldn't read too much into that tbh.

Just like last year when the top 3 teams in last years weakest division (the atlantic) where in the top 6 in the league. How did that work out for them in the playoffs. That is exactly my point, with an unbalanced schedule the better teams in the worst division will have their record inflated by playing all those games against crap opponents.

hey bud, it'S fine, I don't like Calgary much and I don't find them any good. I like Gaudreau and Gio A LOT but appart from that they are Meh.

I don't care that Calgary is mad, the team is nothing amazing compared to top talents in Toronto, Nashville, Vancouver.
Calgary can't draft Forwards nor Centers outside the top 6 and tkachuk will leave.

Don’t get the Montreal love, Price and Weber are old and is preventing them from high end talent. Unless Konkeniemi turn out to be a 1C, Domi continues to look good and center, they find a young top pair D through draft. Otherwise, they are heading back to the basement when Price falls off.

Guys if we keep going we’re going to reach the “26 cups” argument. We’re almost there, I can feel it

Gaudreau 4th round. Maybe if I don’t say anything else you’ll actually read it this time

I’m a canucks fan and I have no bias in this argument. Calgary is far far ahead of where Montreal is, it’s not even close. Not taking anything way from Brendan Gallagher, I like what he brings, but if he is your teams best player (besides price) you’re team isn’t a good one.

Weber ? romanov or Brook
Price ? Primeau

Wanna keep up ?

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
I'm sorry. But :laugh::laugh:

A couple second rounders, that are 19 year olds = replacement for Shea Weber. 7th Rounder having college succcess = replacement for Price.

Flames:
Dave Rittich, completely unknown/wildcard (playing in the NHL)
No depth to replace Giordano (meanwhile half of their NHL roster is high pedigree defencemen).

Flames ? ya, they have zero goaltending and Gio will be too old to carry. The flames are riding a wave this year that won't last long. I like the team a lot but I have zero confidence in the team direction

Jets, will be getting too old, will lose Myers, Trouba, Wheelers will be old and I don't trust Helle on the long run to become consistent.

Agreed. Girodano plays a major role, and he's majorly old.

Watched the WJC and their KHL/WHL development ? Not sure you did.

I actually follow the WHL
It's such a ridiculous take. You have no one to replace your aging top pair D! Us? Oh we have kids that are still years away from being NHL impact players, but they'll replace ours! Oh, those kids you have already playing impact minutes and getting larger roles in the organization? Not even close bro.

P
are those... steals ? in what world is Backlund and Jankowski a steal ? they are first round pick and were suppose to be 3rd line center...

They aren’t steals lol. You said they can’t draft after 6 overall. They drafted all these NHLers. 15/23 players on the second best team in the league they drafted

2022 Cup to Calgary
Calgary is relying on 5 guys.

Well that's certainly... a take.

Four forwards above PPG
Two more forwards on pace for 44+ points with a reputation for shutdown play
Two more forwards on pace for 32+ points from the third line
A 4C on pace for 27 points with strong PKing
One defenseman above PPG
Two more defensemen on pace for 37+ points
One more top four defenseman with strong underlying numbers and penalty killing ability
Starting goaltender posting the sixth-best GAA in the NHL

I mean in terms of key pieces alone that would add up to relying on fourteen guys. Of course they would love a guy like Neal and/or Smith to be part of the group they're relying on, then they could be relying on fifteen or sixteen guys instead of fourteen. But that's certainly not five guys.

And that's not even counting a very well performing 4th line utility winger like Hathaway or five different defensemen each performing well in the two bottom pair slots.
