Why don't you just present your list and we discuss? And what do you mean by "going forward"?

Because this thread isn't about me, it's about what everyone thinks. But ok -- and by going forward, I mean the next 5 years-ish

my list goes

WPG/CGY
TOR
MTL
VAN
OTT
EDM

Who's best? Who's worst?

it's such a vague statement, good right now, or good in the near future ?

if we are talking right now:

1. Toronto
2. Jets
3. Montreal
4. Calgary ( riding on Gaudreau and their random goalie is too scary for me)
5. Edmonton
6. Vancouver
7. Ottawa

But, let's ranked the teams prediction for in 3 years ranking

1. Toronto
2. Montreal
3. Vancouver
4. Edmonton
5. Jets
6. Calgary
7. Ottawa

3. vancouver, they have the prospects pool and the goaltending, I trust them to be back on top in 3 years.
4. Edmonton is a funny case, they can be first with their core, but they need to change the management and draft better, which I think they will be middle pack.

And you think the Jets and Flames will be below middle-pack?

Flames ? ya, they have zero goaltending and Gio will be too old to carry. The flames are riding a wave this year that won't last long. I like the team a lot but I have zero confidence in the team direction

Jets, will be getting too old, will lose Myers, Trouba, Wheelers will be old and I don't trust Helle on the long run to become consistent.

Yes, right now, the best team in the standings by points, point%, and goal difference is actually 4th. The 3rd is 1st, and 4th is 3rd. Flawless

Ah yes, in 3 years, the Good teams with young cores proving it in the NHL will be Bad, and the Bad/Mediocre teams with incompetent management and owners and unproven players at best will be Good. beautiful analysis Mr. Gump, Sir:clap::clap::clap:

I'm sorry to have no faith in Calgary and Winnipeg, They won't be where they are in 3 years.
Read my post up there to learn why

Much better to place your faith in Benning, the OBC in Edmonton, and Molson/Bergevin instead of groups who have built young elite teams. Got it. We will see in 3 years.
