They probably still in the meeting. Meeting with Boras can take long hours especially with Harper and his wife there.

“After conducting a face-to-face meeting in Las Vegas with free-agent outfielder Bryce Harper on Saturday, the Phillies “remain optimistic” they’ll emerge from the offseason having signed him or free-agent infielder Manny Machado, Matt Breen of Philly.com reports. At the very least, the Phillies will be finalists for both Harper and Machado, Breen adds.“

Looking good

Skyversky I guess found the return flight home and got Klentak and Middleton on the way home?
Yep. Standing outside the airport waiting for them when they got home haha

Rumor is VV is changing his number from 28 to 21 and trying to link that to Harper signing.

Can't wait for this all to be over

The Phillies are “clear-cut” favorites to sign Harper, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale hears from multiple sources. The Nationals, on the other hand, are fading in the sweepstakes, and team executives are calling it a “long shot” that he’ll re-sign with them. Nightengale reports. Washington isn’t prepared to pay Harper more than $25MM per year, Nightengale suggests. The Phillies, meanwhile, haven’t submitted a formal offer to Harper yet, but that should change during the upcoming week, according to Nightengale.

Why the **** have they not submitted an offer yet?

Just do it.
I imagine the meeting yesterday was to gague what the other offers were. Even if they are willing to go nuts here it is still a negotiation. Harper knows the Phillies will beat any offer and he knows one is coming. Boras is not letting him sign without getting an offer from Philly first. Philly isn't making an offer until they have a clear picture of what it needs to be.

The meeting between the #Phillies and Bryce Harper yesterday in Las Vegas went so well and they came away so impressed with Harper and his wife that they might be shifting their focus from Manny Machado to him.

“Two sources told MLB.com on Sunday that the Phillies' presentation and meeting went well. So well, in fact, that the Phillies might be shifting their focus from Manny Machado to Harper, although it is unknown if the club made a formal contract offer to Harper before leaving town. The Phillies' contingent consisted of managing partner John Middleton, president Andy MacPhail, general manager Matt Klentak, manager Gabe Kapler and assistant general manager Ned Rice. The same group, plus others, made a similar pitch to Machado late last month at Citizens Bank Park.

Machado has a formal offer on the table.

Machado has been the Phillies' No. 1 choice since the beginning of the offseason because of his combination of offense and elite defense at third base, while Harper has been the people's choice because of his offensive prowess and immense star power.

But one source said the Phillies left Vegas remarkably impressed with Harper and his wife.”

Didn't they say at the beginning of the off-season they were going for both? Now that it might be a possibility they are back tracking from that?
