Morgan is always insinuating on his podcast that Tie was overly involved with Max here in AZ. Joking that Tie called Chayka and Tocchet daily with criticisms. I wonder if the Spitten Chiclets boys asked Tie about Max’s Arizona days. Would love to get Tie’s perspective on events. Morgan and Lapinski are always hinting at but never directly addressing the Domi backstory.

Listened to it today. They didn't get in to Max's Arizona days... Biz didn't ask, either.

Thanks for the link. Was fun to listen to about that and get a bit of thought process behind Cohen.

Another guy who comes to AZ in winter and falls in love with the place. ;)

Haha - if we didn't have good weather we'd have nothing! What did you guys make of the arena comments? Not the same rhetoric we've heard before of "actively pursuing other options". Kind of seemed like 'this is our home and we have to make it attractive'.

The key point was when he said just building a new arena is not enough, we have to be competitive.

Agreed. Sounded like they think they need to win/earn more fan support and the arena wasn't end all be all... but sounds like they would still want to explore/go after it. He mentioned their heat maps from merch, NHL, etc etc which was interesting too.

Cohen recognizes what everybody here has said at one time or another. This is a fair weather market. Without a consistently competitive product you aren’t even going to draw flies.

I can envision if the Coyotes ever get themselves to a level where they’re a regular playoff participant then the arena talk will begin to ramp itself up.

Not Spittin Chiclets related, but podcast related... Elliotte Friedman from 31 Thoughts podcast interviews Aaron Cohen. Pretty honest conversation about long-term plans for Coyotes culture, finances, and arena.

This was really good. The last few minutes where he goes over Bissonnette talking about marijuana and concussions after being told explicitly not to discuss those issues is interesting. I can understand not discussing marijuana due to legality, but whatever with that. The concussions, on the other hand, really shows the league has a mandate where it's just not to ever be discussed.

Thanks for those brief recaps about his arena comments guys. Refreshing to hear talk of winning the fans over by giving them a team worth supporting instead of the usual trashing of the fans with their hands out looking for a subsidy. Amazing what happens when someone owns the team that can actually afford it.

The sean avery interview was interesting hearing him whine about not making very much from his acting career so far.

Someone should submit this as a listener question to Natty Hatty. See if Craig will answer directly the Domi drama he’s always bringing up but constantly tip toeing around.

Curtiss Patrick is by far the most likable guest they’ve ever had on the show. What a guy!

I tend to skip over the no-name guests. Apparently I should listen because they are some of the best.

It's cool to see how much Chiclets has grown. I listen to seven different podcasts and it's top of the list, closely followed by Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast.

I like Bill Burr’s pod from time to time. He was good at the beginning of the pandemic. Any time he spends taking about his fitness routine or his musical passions, I can’t take. And that’s basically 25% (at least) of his show. Probably closer to 50%. But I really like the other parts.

I listen to Chiclets and Natty Hatty. Mostly I just scream in anger at Natty Hatty, though. Wouldn’t say I like it it per se.

I like the Doughboys podcast, but I started late and don’t know if I can catch up. I also don’t like what it did to my waste line pre pandemic. Now that it’s pandemic times, I have zero interest in it.

I listen to a few REALLY awful podcasts made by and for terrible human beings. Just the absolute lowest form of comedy. But that’s only occasionally, and they’re too embarrassing to name.

I will also very rarely listen to an epp or two of an extremist fascist podcast or an extremist socialist podcast. I like to listen sometimes to wildly right wing and wildly left wing podcasters.

Mostly it’s just Chiclets and audible for me. It’s a nice balancing act. The Chiclets guys are complete idiots. Brain dead stupid monkeys. Hooting and hurling shit and being absolute zoo animal morons. Then I listen to literature. Award winning fiction and classics. Haha.

I used to do that - in the 90s I worked with a bunch of old IT guys (my age now *cough*) who I could tell listened to Rush in their offices because of that distinct tone when they go to commercial...so a couple of times on my long commute I'd listen to his show, and...wow. If one ever admits to listening to Rush, I'll know not to take anything that person might say seriously ever again.

I want you to name these not to judge you, but because I'm a terrible human being when it comes to my taste in comedy and want to listen.
