What I would like to see from nhl13 is...General(improved a.i,improved physics(you can hit yuor own team by accident,everything live...refs, benches,better stick physics etc.),better graphics+presentation)Gameplay(improved stick checking(more animations,less auto penalties),more natural skating,a.i more human...less auto lobbing the ouck 100 feet in the air on the pk)BaPM(ask for trades,give a price range for your contracts...agent dosent automaticaly choose for you)BaGM(better user interface,better sim,ability to set/lock lines so that if you choose to let assistan coach set 'best lines" your set/locked lines are left unchanged,improved trading,line cemistry...lines get better the longer they play together,potential for players stays the same..but add a max potential stat...max potential would work like this...potential will govern player grow and their chances of reaching their Max Potential(ie A potential 90% chance to reach his Max Potential,and a B- potential 70% chance to reach his Max potential)futhermore once a player reaches their Max potential(from ages 23-27)potential then works the same as in nhl 12...the higher the potentail the longer a player can sustain his Max potential...% Chance to Maximize potential are(90% for A,85% for A-,75% for B,70% for B-,50% for C potential)

Overall-74(A,B,B)
Max Potential-94overall(Yakupov at best will be a 94 overall)

example2 Boone,Jenner
Overall-70(B,B,B)
Max Potential-85overall(Jenner at best will be a 85 overall)
Finaly for Yakupov his Max Potential is that of a 1st liner,so he has a 85% chance to become an nhl 1st liner...and a superstar...if not he would fall to a 2nd line type role

I feel that this Max Potentail system would improve the realism of BaGM mode greatly,and improve the realism of player growth(so teams dont become stacked with stars,and 8-12 years into a BaGm therer are like 25 very good players in free agentcy with no were to go thought's?

For HUT...

Current chemistry stems from either (A) linemates from the same team, or (B) linemates from the same league. A gives more than B. That's fine as a basis, but I feel there should also be...

(C) Linemates of the same nationality
(D) Linemates of the same organization - ex. Thomas Vanek of Buffalo, Luke Adam of Rochester, and Zack Kassian who represents Windsor in NHL 12. All are Sabres "property" so you should be able to assemble high chemistry lines like that. In NHL 12 you have 3-4 high end talents in each of the Euro leagues (Larsson, Rundblad; Armia, Pulkkinen etc) so if you want to assemble a line based around Armia, you only have a few options since there are only a few other high end players from the Finnish league in HUT. Having organizational ownership create chemistry would be a great boost and would make for much more creative lines. As it stands, there are only 2 or 3 non-NHL teams that have the potential for high end, high chemistry lines. Sarnia is one, I forget who else.

Be a GM needs an overhaul. Hot streaks/cold streaks/coaching styles/playbooks are a MUST. They need to just get the EHM people in.

The #1 thing that annoys me is the fact that you can't "break away".

For example, I pass it to Stamkos, he cuts wide on a defensmen at the blue line, in real life by the time Stamkos hit the other blue line he would be all alone, but in the game this never happens.

You always get caught by the slower d men or players

Edit: Also, the AI, I don't remember ever watching a NHL game where the players don't chase a loose puck, but in NHL12? Computer players never go after the loose puck, even if it's right beside them. Drives me insane

So I play New Jersey and autodraft and get a balanced team, but I want a team that prioritizes youth, defensive awareness and bodychecking.

Another aspect of HUT that I think they should change is that player cards should not all be EXACTLY the same. There should be slight variations in the stats of each player...

For example...

A Kovalchuk card might have...

Skating: 91-95
Shooting: 90-96
Hands: 88-93
Checking: 73-76
Defense: 77-81

That way there is more variation in the market and there's a real sense of getting a "great" card as opposed to a "good" card.

-Improved AI(Don't know how many times the AI makes me want to throw my controller while playing a league game in EASHL.

It'd be nice in Be a GM mode if we could look at players stats in Juniors before (And after) drafting.

It's a little but it still isn't enough, you will still get caught alot of the time...

It's just the realism vs. a real NHL game, in real life the player (even the slower ones) are going to get a clear cut break away in those instances, yet even the fastest ones get caught (most of the time)

I want there to be a quick line change feature in-game that looks like the edit lines menu or at least change the in-game edit lines screen to the same one that is there in the BAGM menu. That way, if my player gets hurt I can quickly fill his spot or rotate players in and out of that spot. Also would help for when one of your PK guys takes a penalty and you now have a random guy PKing. That edit lines menu in game is frustratingly clunky.

Actually, all the logos and the name were transferred to the NHL.

Be A GM mode just blows huge dink. Trading is ridic. A star player, if even, every offer is the same. 1st, mid talent player. its dumb. Basically everything sucks in BAGM lmao.

AI - yeah a super fast player should be able to break past a dman easily ( like the dude said about stamkos ) The Fighting sucks too, everythings the same. it's just dumb. I liked 2k fights where you could move around while you fight, and instead of the user controlled fighter getting taken, i should be able to wrestle the oppentent down, or just hug him like Zach Stortini :sarcasm:.

Overall, Im not impressed with the game in general. 2010 and 2011 were exactly the same game, 2012 was a bit different but still failed to make me happy.
Madden 12 on the other hand, totally revamped and its a much better game. In Madden and Fifa they excel and the game improves every year, NHL WAKE UP !!!

More frequent/better updates. In NBA 2K12, Lin became good right away. Ryan McDonagh is still a 79, Girardi an 82.

My biggest gripe is to fix the defense in this game. There are so many times where im playing as a D and im playing the man either in the corner or behind the net. My other D man is just sitting with an opponents forward in front of the net. Not tying him up, not lifting his stick, nothing. Just watching the play and most of the time sitting behind the opponents forward. Have had so many goals go in due to this. (Online) This will also partially fix the constant cross crease backdoor pass which all online players use.

-Forwards should never stop skating. Lots of times they are stopped at the blue line just waiting for me to bring the puck up.
- Forwards being bunched up in one spot waiting for me to bring the puck up also.
- Single player should have benefits to playing good D instead of the AI making ridiculous passes and playing perfect.
- Hits can lay people out in hockey, but in NHL any hit you give to an opponent always lays them out and gets them stuck in animation.
- The puck is glued to forwards.
- More roster updates to effect injured players.
- Like poster from recent page said, take ideas from NBA 2k series. The daily/current stats, nights game schedule, and upcoming games is a cool feature.

Ive actually stopped playing this game because of these problems and the fact that you cant play real hockey in this game. You really cant win by trying to cycle the puck, take shots from the point/get rebounds garbage goals, play behind the net. Every goal in online play from cross crease one timer.

The NHL retains all rights to pretty much everything, the clubs are not independent, hence the term "Franchise".

Having said that, I really can't see any reason why we'd want to remember that the Thrashers were once a team...

i still don't like that player's rating is basically the overall +/- 5 each way.

is ovechkin really 95 defense? crosby 90 fighting? give me a break... and it would make defensive specialists like pyatt actually useful in the way they are useful in the NHL.
