I get why the picked the years that they did, but there's no context to that. Carlzner were the shutdown pair for basically the entirety of Oates' and Hunter's Run, no? So before that it was all Green but before that we were a completely different team. Carlzner have been our shutdown guy through the time where we only thought blocking a shot was defense and that being on your strong side was all that was necessary to be a good defender.

I like Green, he was my favorite player till Carlson and Holtby stepped up, but those stats just need context to them.

I did, but it makes the data inconclusive. No matter how you spin it, it was made to buff Green up and (while I don't agree he's been nearly as bad as people make him out to seem) you can't conclude he was better then Carlzner through that period because the majority of his data are drafted from completely different team and systems.
