Bracco is no Marner. He’s a PP specialist at the AHL level. If there’s no room for a Petan who’s a decent skater then there’s definitely no room for Bracco in the NHL.

There's no room for Petan because he's proven he can't do much in the NHL when given plenty of opportunities. Exactly how much comparable opportunity has Bracco gotten thus far? FYI, Bracco also led the Marlies in ES points last year as well. Funny no one talks about that. I guess that would not fit with the narrative that he's worth nothing more than a bag of pucks. IMO, he'll likely be a Bozak/Kerfoot level talent at the NHL level, potentially a Steve Sullivan kind of talent if he's given the opportunity. You know, the sort of player who's dumped on repeatedly by this crowd who then start attacking management for letting him go for nothing when he's a success elsewhere. But yeah, a player with elite skill is something you run out of town, not build around.

Cause the leafs are winning in the playoffs with "elite skill" . Right?

I don’t see it... I’d like to, but I just don’t.

Who is going to give a 2nd or high 3rd for a player whose main attribute is passing the puck?

He’s small and not the best of skaters - bad combo...
He doesn’t score many goals
He isn’t reliable defensively

I don’t think there is a hot market for players like this...

I'm not a huge Bracco fan, never have been, but it's not terribly unlikely he turns out to be a 40-50pt sheltered scoring line + PP specialist. Not even close to a perfect player, but that's not nothing either. Depth scoring and special teams production matters to teams.

Do those players even exist in the NHL anymore?

Less and less, but guys like Vanek made a second career out of it.

And with Bracco's vision and playmaking ability, he's not going to have troubles finding teams that will give him the type of chances to allow him to rack up points.

Bracco has also shown a lot of positives. He's producing more at ES, he's still successful even without a proven AHL All-Star like Mueller (not that Brooks and Korshkov are chopped liver or anything) and although he still needs a fair bit of work, he's shown a great deal of commitment to his own end too.

There's a lot to like about Bracco right now, and he's got the right attitude to only get better and more well-rounded.

What is the injury status of kosilla, marchment and brooks (he didnt play last game)?

Is there a timeline when these players will return to play with the marlies?

Also can anyone recommend a site that has current news on the marlies or even a site that show marlies/ AHL injury report.

Is there a website like dailyfaceoff (shows nhl line combination and defence pairing) for the ahl teams?

Thanks

Tell me what you thought of Tampa and St. Louis last year.

Tampa had twice the skill of the Blues but no bite in their game.

The biggest factor in winning is puck possession and you can't keep possession if you can't retrieve pucks. That means digging in the corners and winning battles.

The Blues were the best team in the league last year in winning those battles.

I don't believe Brooks will be out for long. Not sure about Marchment and Kosilla. There is no website that tracks AHL injuries. You can only get them from the Marlies if they bring that information out.
There is also no website that notes line combinations for the AHL.

Lineup changes, Schmaltz in for Lindgren. Kask starts
Interesting Sandin and Lilly separated.

Elynuik in the 2nd line center slot as well, kid seems to be moving up the line-up pretty quickly, especially with Brooks down

Maybe he split up Sandin and Liljegren so that he's basically got one on the ice most of the time rather than both on the ice for 30 minutes and the other guys for 30

1-0 Devils after 1. Shots were equal at 9-9. After the goal, Marlies played really well and were robbed a couple times.

Devils added another one in the 2nd, and lead 2-0 heading into the 3rd. Shots were 10-8 Marlies in the period, and total 19-17 for the Marlies as well.
