I very much he does not have it. 15 years with the org.

Would ownership REALLY veto a move? Now, that's a good question.

Semantics, I guess, but important nuance.

I feel like the org is prepared to move on and is putting out feelers with the recent Rossi and Yohe stuff. Hopefully Rutherford gets fired before he can move Letang.

He'd try, maybe.

Pretty sure trading any of the big three requires ownership approval.

Would Mario give that approval? Unless Letang ASKS to leave? I doubt it.

Mario is barely an owner these days though, yeah?

Malkin definitely. 18 months ago confirmed that.

Letang? Not as absolute.

Yeah, we cannot know for sure.

Maybe they'd get approval to trade Letang. Pretty sure approval is needed though.

We are talking franchise altering move here. These decisions need ownership approval in any good org. I would guess that most owners would give that approval not to be seen as too hands-on, but still.

Moot point anyway, we have no way of knowing unless a move happens and then we won't know the internal discussions.

For sure, but I know the Letang dance twice reached the point where it was about the return not being deemed sufficient by JR rather than a question of ownership approving.

Marino was also attached to Jack Johnson for long stretches, recieved less minutes to accumulate points and got far heavier D zone usage.

This isnt a Werenski hit piece. Hes a good defenseman that excels on the PP. Thats valuable.

But even strength, in the sample we have, ( which is imperfect, i know) Marino has been equal offensively and better defensively at even strength.

That doesnt mean it will continue, it doesn't mean anything other than being an accurate description of what has happened.
You are buying into certain stats far too much.

Make a poll and ask who is better at ES.
