One of my favourite Leafs but he has to get his head outta his ass. He has been garbage through two games thus far. Pasta is embarrassing Willy.

Pasta is getting fking wide open looks. All 3 goals he was wide open 1-1 on the goalie.

Our defense is shit!

Last game, no one cover pasta as well when he scored. Easy to shit when you have bergeron and marchand getting most of the attention

Obviously Nylander was going to get exposed in a series like this. When you are a soft, perimeter player, who lacks fortitude you will get exposed for what you are in this series. There is little doubt that this kid is as soft as they come. I don’t even understand how anyone can defend someone who plays scared like Nylander. He is a coward.

If anyone see's Nylander , let him know the Leafs play Monday night at the ACC. If anyone ever defends his compete level, smarten up. Willy choosing ghost mode for the playoffs.

True in a sense but he's playing very well. Can't give Bergy & Marchand all the credit.

Matthew and Nylander dominated possession tonight (Nylander in particular had a 68% CF%), they just couldn’t put the luck in the net.

Those stats are particularly noticeable given the fact they were facing some of the top Bruins forwards.

But please, keep pretending they’re playing like 4th liners.

A lot of people fawn over his shot and mention it as a reason why he will be a better goal scorer than Marner but he seems to have hardly any goal scoring instincts or desire to get close to the net.

Umm... you realize Pastrnak got 6 points right?

This is not impressive at all. Wow our top line had 68% CF? Their top line had 14 points combined! We were down 4-0 after the first, do you think the Bruins were really trying after that? Our top line is being taught a lesson this series.

Controlling the puck for nearly 70% of the time your on the ice is incredibly impressive. And pretty strong evidence to the contrary that he played poorly.

The Bruins top guys lit up weak Toronto goaltending (including gettingto face McBackup) They played well, but let’s not pretend they didn’t get a bit of luck On their side.

It doesn't mean much when you are down by 4 goals. Who exactly were they playing against that was desperate to get the puck?

Wow. After 2 games people even want our young studs out.

Pastrnak is absolutely invisible until he gets an open look. He plays with Marchand and Bergeron who guarantee even on his worst days he'll get a prime scoring chance. If they can't get him a look, then Leafs defence give him one.

Acting like Nylander wouldn't rack up points if he could swap places with Pastrnak right now.

edit- sorry didn't mean pastrnak is generally invisible i just mean he doesn't stand out much this series until he's suddenly wide open

You can’t possibly blame 4 goals on Nylander tonight.

The point is, the idea that Nylander (or Matthews) have been playing poorly isn’t exactly true. If they keep this up the goals come.

Where did I say Nylander was to blame for the goals? I am just saying both him and Matthews have done nothing to help the Leafs in this series. Our best players are getting decimated by Boston's best and if we are going to even win a game we will need them to do something aside from maintain a 68% Corsi rating. At this point (still early in the series) their performances can only negatively impact future contract negotiation. Again, 20 points for Boston's top line vs. 0 for the Leafs...is that really all luck?

Didn't think he would be this soft in the playoffs. Sure in the regular season but if he is this soft he isn't worth much. Looks like he just wants to skate around and avoid getting hit all day long. That's not very special when you go to win a cup.

Just like Kessel, another playoff ghost.
