They never played together except on the PP at Wisco.Holloway and Caufield would had been a great combo for sure in MTL like they were at the College level.

What were the odds that the Rangers would jump to #1 ?
Do you think you have good odds of winning the lottery because people win it every now and then? Just because the Rangers won with 12.5% odds doesn't mean you should force your team to lose because 12.5% is a sure thing.
Do you remember when Carolina jumped to #2 spot and got Svechnikov ? OR How Detroit had been screwed badly in the recent years even if they were finishing rock bottom ? Odds and Covid had played against the Habs with the results we see today. A team who finished 24th last season and won a round of a pre-Stanley Cup tournament. This performance and the luck they had meeting Vancouver so often at the beginning of this shortened season, have blinded the org and the fans about the real value of this team.

Still not how statistics work. If you see Carolina can win the lottery with a 3% chance and think that is a shot worth taking then I have some fantastic news for you, that's exactly our odds of winning the cup!! Oh, does that pretty much guarantee we won't win? Strange how you understand that in one context but not the other...

The rebuild is the appropriate approach because the team sucks, not because of lottery winning percentages.
Yeah, finishing at the bottom of the standings and getting a top pick sure worked for the Oilers. They've been doing it for a decade and are still a mediocre team.
All I am saying is Habs would have had a larger group of excellent prospects to chose from IF they would had picked 8th or 9th, and even a fair chance to get #1 overall.
That is a valid opinion of where our team is. I'm arguing against the "why didn't we intentionally tank the play-ins last year for a glorious 12.5% chance at Laf" nonsense.
Timmins said there was only one player taken between 8 and 16 that the Habs had rated over Guhle. Not much of a difference. All I am saying is Habs would have had a larger group of excellent prospects to chose from IF they would had picked 8th or 9th, and even a fair chance to get #1 overall.

No matter, the fact is they had Guhle 9th or lower on their draft board. Missing the playoffs would have made little difference to their draft. And if there’s one thing all Habs fans can trust is Trevor Timmins evaluation of first round talent.

Is he injured ? Only played 2 games of WHL

For those who follow the WHL. At the same age, is he better than Juulsen was?
Much better gap control, better skating and better puck handling. Always looking to make things happen.
