Thank you doctor Recchi to share your medical acknowledgements about Drouin's surgery

Having read a lot about the nervous system, I can tell you that breathing through the nose in a state of high stress (physical exertion) has an impact, but it's highly overstated and exagerated.

But besides that, you're no more an expert and the only thing you're doing is siding with the voices of authority that fits your prefered narrative.

Drouin didn't have a surgery before last season and it didn't stop him from doing the same things he's doing now. I guess his nose changed for the worst when the most important games came up.. :sarcasm:

He scoffed at me for being a Dr Reechi type even though I had the surgery to correct a deviated septum lol, don't waste your time, I think that he might be Belial's brother.

That was beatiful writting, nice proverb. I can understand you are wary Drouin will pull a Mr. October. I can confort you, Drouin's past postseasons performances with TB suggest he's clutch even in the playoffs, something Brian Savage himself never achieved in his whole career if I remember correctly. Every NHL team has to live with inconsistant top 6 players; as all scorers are, I'll be satisfied with Drouin if he shoes up unexpected from the vandguard like a cavalry striking. Jonathan Drouin is like the Habs Big Bertha, he delivers a random powerful strike of artillery on the battlefield of the game Total Annihilation, he's a gamebreaker and that's what I like about him, I don't care whether he "shoes up" as an axiom 82 games or not.

As this QC’s proverb says, his nose goes throughout the traffic now. So this part of his body is okay. Surgery or whatever, Drouin doing finally the basic things a hab should do...

ultimately playing like he has is more work, but It must also be so much more fun for him to play the game this way and realize that yes we expect a lot from him, but as long as he displays that type of behavior on the ice fans will be off his back (for the most part) and people will cheer for him.

Some just keep this up for the season though. The way he plays right now, if he can keep this up even while falling just below ppg, hell be elite IMO.

This summer, I was one of the few guys who felt the Habs should keep Drouin....he was too young....and too talented to give up on him.
He needed to be coached and encouraged properly....to unlock his true potential.

deviated at what point ? exactly the same as Drouin ?
This is what i dislike about your attitude ; You make assumption that your situation is exactly the same one that the one of Drouin . You are not Drouin , you are not a professional athlete, or a health professional specialist . I am exactly in the same position as you, but i prefer to trust Drouin, or the one who have made the surgery or the eyes test of the way Drouin is playing right now

A lot of us didn't want to trade Drouin - but more because his value was so low that it was better to see if he could some how turn it around than to trade him for scraps.

You know even less about it than I do but yet you defend Drouin adamantly, you defend everything management does in the same manner. I am also thankful that I am not a goldfish and I am able to formulate my own opinions on things without having an appeal to authority complex wrapped up in everything that I say and believe.

Loving the effort this year. Great seeing him on the score sheet regularly, and getting some dirty goals too. Long may this continue!

I bashed him more than anyone and he deserved it... but this year, this version of Drouin is fantastic. Busting his balls every game and making smarter decisions with and without the puck. He’s been one of our best players so far and deserves a ton of kudos and credit for turning things around after a terrible season last year and preseason this year. I hope he keeps up the good work. On an unrelated note, I had the deviated septum surgery myself after boxing in my youth, and I can tell you it changes your life around completely. I had something like 97 percent blockage and I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t do anything that I used to take for granted. You feel fuzzy and off all the time for lack of a better description. After the surgery, and the excruciating three days with the balls in your nose, it was night and day difference. I feel for him if he was blocked up badly, it’s not fun and it’s not as easy as “just breathing through your mouth.”

When can we start giving MB credit for this great trade???

i'd still wait a bit. Don't know what Sergachev is doing so I can't say really. But people did massacre him for this trade. Sergachev was supposed to be the Markov replacement etc. and Drouin's a bum.

He's made a few moves that are down right bad and can be said definitively now they were bad but that's with just about any GM. This was seen as one of his worst for awhile so if Drouin actually pans out that's a pretty big reversal in appraisal.

This deal and the Weber/Subban deals were supposed to be the terrible deals (Domi/Galchenyuk too initially though Domi changed that narrative quick). But now Subban looks washed after being traded for the same return as we got for Andrew Shaw...
