They should have done this from day 1.

The fact that they didnt made me suspicious that they didnt care who bought cheap tickets, so long as they were selling cheap tickets, so I see this as a step in the right direction.

I also see no issue with the new process except in the wording of "local students "

How about during Thanksgiving and Winter break when Devils fans from the area are home and want to get tickets, but they attend school in Texas, Ohio or West Virginia?

Fair enough point. Although I'm sure that can be taken care of with a 5 minute email or call.

I wonder if they consider students who live in and go to school in NYC local.

Good point, that's dumb.

I wonder if once they get it to only .edu soon if the prices will go back down to actual cheap levels rather than more expensive than Stubhub.

That is shameful and revolting.

Thirty years ago people would have felt embarrassed doing such a thing, I'm pretty sure one of the biggest problems with society is the death of embarrassment as a self-regulating phenomena.

And you're 100% correct, the Devils should impose a minimum 10 can donation to get a voucher.

i dont think there is a death of embarrassment i think people are just trying to get any type of edge/angle they can. i think whats more telling is that in that 30 years time we are still having to hold food drives to feed people in this country?

And if/when people do that with a charity, they should be embarrassed/disgraced.

how? the devils are the ones offering the perk? they are just taking advantage of it. if they make it 50 cans i'm sure people that want the perk will bring 50 cans those that dont wont. it doesn't make them bad or worse.

I'm pretty shocked you feel that way.

Some things in life you shouldn't, "take advantage of" - like a charity.

And yes, if someone brings one small 49¢ can of beans to a charitable donation to "game the system", as you say, they probably are a "bad" person.

for a team doing the family route they sure do love the adult gaming business. thats not a dis either

I remember the last game vs Colorado during 1st period intermission a group of 20 people around the NJ lottery station.
I think it was a quick draw game going on.

My guess is the Goal Bar would be turn into a sportsbook bar.

I worked the heck out of those promotions last year.

I dunno, maybe I am a dick, but they did get me to donate.

take advantage meaning taking the devils up on the offer of tickets for the food. not take advantage as scamming.

if the devils wanted to set rules then they should've set rules.

bigger problem i have is that people actually really still depend on that .49 can of food in the year 2018 in america and a "wealthy" state like i've seen people post on here

i'm def not going to get on some guy or family that is trying to benefit from this deal the devils offer so that can attend a expensive sporting event.

Not going to lie, I'd play blackjack during intermissions.

But I'm guessing it's illegal if T-Mobile doesn't even have slots.
