15th Qualified 2019/20 AHL season goalie after 5 seasons in AHL on a defensively stacked team. WOW! Hope he knows how lucky he is... to be a pro player

Oh I thought you said he was lucky to be an AHL backup before and I didn’t realize there was less than 15 teams in the AHL. My bad.

Or did you just move the goal post to him having to be a top 15 starter on a poor defensive team... hmmm

It’s almost as if a team full of mainly first and second year players and a ton of new faces had an okay start to the season and are finally comfortable with one another and winning hockey games. Where did I see this before? Oh yeah just about every single year in the AHL, including the Bears last year. Maybe don’t be quick to jump down a players throat just because you think his stats suck

I lived in Saskatoon, growing up. You could tell he was going to be something special, watching him in Juniors. :)

This is why I'm perplexed about Cherry's hate about Ovechkin over the years. I know he doesn't like foreign players, however I was hoping Ovy would change his view. I mean Ovy plays literally like Clark did with exception to fighting. He hits, scores goals, and can talk the smack all day. Additionally, both players are role models for their local and sports communities. Clark, imho, was the epitome of a hockey player and it is nice having a better version of him in D.C. with Ovy. Ovy's rookie year I was like we finally got a breed of hockey player like this.

Lineups and highlights of Hershey's 3-0 win over Lehigh Valley. Goals from Pinho, Pilon and Snively. Hobbs gets back into the lineup after a lengthy streak of healthy scratches. The Bears now sit 2 points out of first place in their division.

Haven't seen a ton of the Bears this year but Nardella always seems to look solid. Is there something there with him?

I really like him. He's a very solid offensive defenseman and has rejuvenated the Bears top PP unit. He isn't going to be a game breaker defensively but he has all the tools (skating, IQ, shot, PP QB) to be an NHL player IMO. He hasn't come out of the lineup for a long stretch of games even with guys getting healthy. He essentially has forced their hand to continue to give him playing time after being scratched for the majority of the first few weeks.

I like him as a sleeper. As you said, the skills are there. Size and opportunity might be his biggest challenges...

didn't realize he’s got some hockey bloodlines...dad is a coach in the AHL.

Maybe a 3rd pairing, offensive Dman/PP specialist. His physical height is an issue but he doesn’t get manhandled like guys his size would. Also like that he has played well on his off side.

Yeah his dad is the assistant with the Chicago Wolves, which is the Vegas AHL affiliate.
