So many dirty plays unpunished in the AHL. Its what finished Almqvist's american career. Sure his skating wasn't great, but he only ever got hurt on illegal hits that the AHL refs turned blind eyes to

Is it makes sense to bring kids like Seider to main team instead of paying him in AHL. Instead of playing 20 + minutes with lower skill players play him actually against world best players for about 12-14 minutes. But he will learn actually more from Green than from Hickets for example.

Yes and no. I think that the management is sheltering all of our top prospects in the AHL and let them push for a playoff spot and a deep run. Seider could definitely learn in the NHL and could likely handle more than 15 minutes as an 18 year old! but this season is a disaster for the wings. I think that he is learning a lot from vetrans like Lashoff and Big Mac. Although they may not have the same skill as a Mike Green, they play a physical brand of hockey and are great reliable pros. A lot of defensive upside with them that really isn't apparent with the Wings. Same thing with Veleno and Ras, they could come up and struggle on a terrible team with more skilled players, but with a higher likelihood of a stunted development.
People always talk about how young players need to be put in situations where they can succeed, and I don't think anyone can succeed with the Wings. Handing over GR to the kids allows them to make success.

Anyone have any info on Mo’s status?

We were doing so well recently then he gets injured and we lose two games in a row... really sucks
The latest update I’ve heard was from Ken Daniels who said he didn’t believe it to be serious

Seider was placed on mandatory concussion protocol when he got to the dressing room Saturday night. No word if he officially got a concussion or not. He is questionable for the Texas road trip this week in San Antonio and Austin. Team leaves sometime tomorrow. Maybe more to report by then.

These protocols usually mean a 1 week off.

Update: Griffins coach (according to team policy) would not discuss Seider's injury to the local media today. He did say that he will miss part of the 4 game road trip (most likely the first 2 games this weekend). Griffins are at Griffs Ice House tonight as they take on the Sled Wings before taking off to San Antonio tomorrow.
