Lemaire-style comeback? They're 5 points away from third in the division, not 30.

And could be 7 points back after this Saturday. :help:

Lamorielo: "I don’t think anyone was predicting or felt that we would have 3 points in 7 games. But we have played 7 games. We have 75 left"

Cory Schneider will start in net for Devils Saturday vs. Rangers. DeBoer said he's pondering "a couple" other lineup changes.

Tedy shouldn't play. Much rather play Olesz or JJ then Tedy.

Notice that Lou didn't specify how many games that Pete had left. :sarcasm:

And I bet the "couple" of lineup changes won't include Volchenkov being scratched.... :shakehead

Olesz has done literally nothing to deserve playing. Neither has Loktionov.

Would you still play them over Gionta, though?

Oh he's been awful the last few games. But here's the difference between me and you. I will be the first person to admit when I'm wrong. You, however, will hang on for dear life until, 30 pages later, people are left staring at a wreck of a thread wondering what the discussion was about in the first place.

if you were the won who made 'the bet', and you lose, please dont delete your account. we need more people like this, not less

Seriously. And what's the deal with horses? We're all Devils fans. It seems like people carry agendas and carry stock in guys failing and succeeding.

News flash: no one cares if you quote a post 2 years from now about how you were totally right about Mark Fayne.

I will never understand the whole "this 22 year old is bad and has no room for growth but THIS one that my amateur scout eyes see is destined for greatness. Oh and this 20 year old is never going to amount to anything trade him!"

What's the point?
dude I hate to break it to you but you are one of the people that go back in time and bring up posts of other posters.

so I am not sure what point you're trying to make. you do it too.

Read my post again. When I bring up past posts I do it to show a flaw in your argument (ex. If you say x now and have said y earlier). I don't bring up old posts tooting my own horn.

Seriously read, think about what you read, read again, then reply.

I'm long past expecting Volch to sit at this point, I don't know what it is, his vet status, his contract, or what that gives him a pass but he clearly has it. I just hope its Harrold and Fayne gets to play.

Don't really care to much about the forwards. They are all about equal right now so there won't be a ton of difference. Big guys need to be big.

MikeP: I asked Lamoriello about Larsson last week and wrote about it.

There is no question, by the way, that Larsson has struggled in some of the games. I don’t think anyone who has watched the games would argue that.

The question, which is a legit one, is why is he the one who sits? Because he’s far from the only defenseman who has struggled.

And with that, I’ll let you know that it appears Larsson will be scratched Saturday along with Olesz and Loktionov. Fayne and Josefson were already told they’re playing Saturday.

That will be in the next blog post.

Gulitti himself from his comments on the blog. Looks like Larsson is sitting again tomorrow. Larsson paying because our goalie couldn't stop a beach ball last night. Good one!:handclap:

This is starting to piss me the **** off. At first it was annoying, kinda funny how it was being dealt with but not anymore. For ****s sake enough with this "shaking up the lineup" ******** in interviews then taking out the same players again and again. And they're players who should already be in the ****ing lineup to begin with!

Volchenkov should be our 7th defensemen (or Harrold, but he does have some speed to his game) but they have both played in EVERY SINGLE ****ING GAME SO FAR. This isn't ****ing amateur hour Pete, enough with this ****ing ******** that's costing us games early on. I want him gone, right ****ing now, holy **** how ****ing stubborn does one have to be to continually do the same ****ing ******** every game only to get the same ****ing result. Enough!!

That might be the angriest post I've done on these forums, and if this continues to happen it might get worse... I only wish TG, Chere, or someone for ****s sake had the balls the question Pete about his tactics.

What has Harrold done to make him immune to being benched?

Even weirder is why no one seems to ask this question. Instead you get Deb's awful glorifying interview of him from last night.

This is honestly unbelievable. Even TG sees that it doesn't make any sense for Larsson to be the one sitting.

Has he struggled? Sure. Has he been our worst defenseman? God no.

DEVILS ALL THE WAY*

I'm about to punch to first person I see cause of the stuff I'm reading right about now. Is there another reason as to why ZERO left handed d-men are getting scratched outside of the fact that Pete won't play a guy on his opposite side?

Jesus Christ, 2/3 of the left handed d-men should be sitting once every other game but since our sub d-man is a RH shot, it's the rookie that get's the raw end of the deal each and every time.

I just can't stand it any longer. I think I'll just stay clear of all this negative BS the Devils are throwing my way, for my sanity and the sanity of others around me.

Thank the lord that Arsenal is playing tomorrow, the Sox just inked a legit stud 1B from Cuba, the Spurs are about to kick their season off and the Saints are on their bye week but I can live with that.

I just want someone to legit ask Pete why he keeps benching Fayne for larrson and vice versa and why guys like Volch and Harrold are immune. I just want to hear the answer at this point.
