I really thought Tedy was going to be benched. That is really the most surprising thing to me.

That's an interesting way to look at it. I don't disagree however I think it's far from a lost cause right now.
Gionta is having a positive impact on this team right now. On a team full of negatives, I don't see how he can be cut. Josefson and Lokti are more talented but neither provide Gios energy or continuity with that line.
I can't wrap my brain around it either. As a journalist, aren't they supposed to ask the "tough" question as well? What kind of ***** reporters are we dealing with?
Can someone throw a curveball Pete's way and ask him why #28 or Harrold have been in the lineup despite their mediocre play? Why did Fayne play over 21 minutes in the only game he's played this year while #28 has played in each and every single game thus far while averaging just over 15:30 per game?
That's a whopping 6 full minutes right there, so if Fayne is really that bad, cause there's no other reason for him to sit... why is he getting a extra 6 minutes over "the lock"? That 6 minute extra is almost half of the playing time one of our guy get's for the ENTIRE ****ING GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will throw the biggest party EVER once that sack of **** is off our roster. Everyone is invited and I'll be putting up some wicked pics once it goes down.

And then why is Larrson the one to sit for Fayne? Why can't TG ask this once?
I know Chere won't because I don't even know what he does and Deb. Dear god is she awful. All we get out of her is that fluff piece about Harrold last night. A softball question would be tough for her.

I mean he's in a perfect position, unlike us, to do this and he just DOESN'T DO IT. In all the interviews that Pete has had this year, TG has had ample opportunity to ask him why he doesn't consider benching Volchenkov for a game or two(or 500).

I don't know how serious you guys are about pressing TG to ask questions but is Nets fans had similar problems with Avery Johnson. We pressed Bondy until he snapped and started replying to fans - he ultimately asked the questions.

I am utterly disgusted by the incompetent management of this team right now. Lou and Pete both. They are making a mockery of this great franchise, which is sickening considering that Lou is the one the essentially built it. He has to be condoning these lineup decisions, and it's just not excuseable.
TG is busy *****ing like the rest of us even though he has all the power to ask these tough questions. Fans are using their "collective voice" to ***** about a stupid 30 second goal song when we should be lighting management up for what actually matters - what's happening on the ice.
This team needs to keep losing in order for someone in the organization to wake up. I am out of words to describe this garbage.

I tweeted at him why he doesn't ask it so hopefully he will start but it's as baffling as the lineup changes itself.

Adam was also far more aggressive than he has been. He took a legit slap shot and made some nifty passes.

It's just frustrating being a Devils fan right about now. I don't remember being that pissed when MacLean was in control of a sinking ship cause he at least put out his best players game after game but they just sucked balls cause our HC was wayyyyyyy over his head.
Now, fans are just asking our current HC to ice the best possible lineup and if that doesn't change a thing, you can play #28 as our #1 center for all I care but at least give us and the players your best possible lineup and see what happens.
Is someone going to get cancer or something if DeBoer decides to play a righty on the left side or something? Did our medical staff, wich shouldn't be a reference BTW, warn DeBoer that some type of seizure was going to happen to the player who's going to play on his "off wing"?
I have about 35746549687654 questions to ask DeBoer and Lou right about now. I wish I had TG's job right about now.

Why would Larsson get benched? I don't even think we were particularly bad defensively last night. It might have been the best game defensively that we played so far. I can't remember any odd man rushes for once.
If we had an average NHL goalie last night, we probably get at least a point. If we had Cory in last night, we probably get 2. Marty has 3 wins in his last 18 starts, and should take an extended seat. That's two games he's cost us due to BRUTAL goaltending this year. Of course Volchenkov should as well. The Deboner for Harrold needs to go soft fast. Why is he an every night player? Like Deb said ''Another one of the Devils young defensemen!'' A 30 year old fringe player? Really?

MacLean was just a bad coach. He had no system, while the line-up he iced wasn't that bad they didn't have a clue what to do on the ice. Deboer on the other hand actually has a system, that does work with the right personnel, but his line-up decisions are insane. It's ridiculous the decisions he makes and he has no reasoning behind it, there's no justification that can be made, it's just flat out idiotic.

Larsson would have got an assist last game if Jagr potted that one in, he barely had any mistakes and now he gets scratched.

I think it was the all world writer from Hockey Buzz Todd Cordell, that said the Devils have been one of the best coached teams in the league the last two years, before this season even started. And to that I say, Todd Cordell has been one of the best Devils writers over the last two seasons.

I hope the fans boo the **** out of PDB when his name gets announced tomorrow.
Also, if the team is losing, I want chants of "We want Larsson" and "We Want Gelinas". Probably won't happen but I can't think of any other way for fans to express that we want Volch and Harrold gone, and Fayne and Larsson and Gelinas in AT THE SAME TIME.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I've seen an organization completely ruin a young player, in any sport, like what these jabroni's are doing with Larsson. Greg Schiano vs. Josh Freeman might be the closest thing I can think of. Its totally indefensible what Deboer and Stevens are doing and yes I'm starting think Stevens probably has more input than he should. The disgusting thing about it is there doing the SAME thing with Fayne as well. Thats TWO young D-Men that this jackass is now responsible for stunting there development. That alone is a fireable offense.
