Oh man. I just hope he manages to stay healthy. He is just so special.
I think the Canucks have found their #1C.
Ridiculous all the people who said he could never play center at the NHL level, or that they would start him on the wing.

If he hits 90 surrounded by this team of duds and never weres, he will get the Calder, the Hart, and they might as well throw in the Norris and Conn Smythe even with the Canucks missing the playoffs.
Everyone should probably temper expections a bit. He can go in a slump at any time. He is human afterall. 50-60p would be a succesful season.
Maybe, just maybe, it was a great pick by management and not luck?Welp we didn't have to wait very long to find our 1c after the sedins retired.
We are extremely lucky to have a player like this without having to win a draft lottery.
Pettersson looks a lot more like Malkin than he does Datsyuk. Pettersson doesn't have Datsyuk's skating. Datsyuk could skate for miles.
pettersson = datsyuk's stick work and IQ + malkin's shot + brandon sutter's generational lower body strength
He was probably fatigued at the end of last season.Helluva start to his NHL career. I watched him in the WC’s last spring and while he displayed some nice flashes, he was nowhere near the player who has run roughshod through Calgary these two games. I don’t know what he did over the summer but he seems stronger on his skates and faster in his cuts and turns. I’ve never seen a Canuck debut like this, and that includes Bure.
