I don't expect much of a comeback from the Finns. Mediocre Liiga players scoring at will against Askarov doesn't seem likely.

I think, it's pretty possible. They looked better at the end. Of course, Askarov is great, but still, Finns will go crazy in the 2nd and 3rd.
I fully expect them taking territory, I mean it's men against boys in the end but I don't know if they can finnish it against Askarov :sarcasm:

Two empty-ish nets missed on the PP by Finns. As I said, the high-end skill is just not there on this Finnish team. -3 is a steep hill to climb for a roster like this.

At this point can someone please explain what the Finns, the Swedes and allegedly the Czechs were complaining about regarding Russia seinding it's U20 team?

extra practice at a higher level for the russian U20 team that the other U20 countries arent getting because they didnt want to send their youths.

Maybe they feel its going to be an advantage for the Russian U20 team for the WJC

Nah, it's psychological. If you beat them, it'll be how it should be, but if you lose, you'll get into troubles. Nobody loves situation like this, especially considering, Team Russia U20 aren't some suckers from nowhere.
