For those that are still on the "keep DeBoer" bandwagon...

Look at that! Look at the confidence this kid used to have. Now look at the player we see today.

Thanks Pete.

Seeing Trouba today and then seeing Larsson - very depressing.

Everyone is doing something wrong, including Larsson. Self-belief is tough at any age, but especially then.

Deboer needs to go at this point. Don't have any confidence in him pulling this team out of it and turning the ship around.

The team has been **** since our home and home vs Winnipeg last year. Even when Moose was stinking up the joint and Kovy was still in the lineup, there were barely any goals being scored. The defense just gets worse every game it seems like. The offense is too inconsistent.

Larsson did very well when he first started too---November of 2011 was brilliant

But too bad the coaches removed any ounce of confidence he had

Remember Deboer keeping Moose in net, even though he looked awful? Remember keeping kovalchuk at right wing, even though it had stopped working?

This is a stubborn stubborn man.

That's pretty much when he lost me. IMO he's been the biggest question of doubt I had about this team going into this season. I thought if we sucked badly, it would likely be due to Deboer's dumb decisions, or his system just not working anymore.

His ''Right handed shots on right wing, left handed shots on left wing'' philosophy also greatly handcuffs our lineup, and causes a lot of stupid lines that just don't work.

He's skating forwards in that video. It just proves that he can actually skate and isn't a butcher. His backwards skating has been weak since he came in and hasn't gotten better. The million $ question is... knowing that he actually can skate, why is there no improvement?

Not saying he shouldn't get any blame for this crapfest but maybe he has a certain GM pulling some strings for him.

Did Stevens have any professional coaching experience before he was made a coach by Lou?

I didn't think so. That tells volumes about our defensive play along with the Fayne and
Larsson situations.

What coach or coaches are in charge of the PP, it is killing us.

Getting rid of DeBoer and keeping the other coaches may not solve the problems.

Absolutely agree these coaches beat the youth down. Bring back a Larry Robinson type or a JL type that is willing to teach, work with and build confidence.

Pete says "thought building to play in" ...
BS

No worries NC107...Petey D. will be gone this week.

If he is not, Lou needs to go at the end of the season because he is losing his tough & being too sentimental.

Any fool can see the team has lost confidence in Deboring's coaching style. Moreover, his respect.

Clean house & bring in a new coach with a new style & his people & take it from there before it gets too late.

Lou gives the coaches what they want and always have. Remember in MacLean's tenure when they went through call up after call up without calling up Zharkov. Then Lemaire takes over and who was the first call-up? Because one coach didn't want him and the other loved him.

Going back to that year MacLean did start McKenna over Hedberg for a game IIRC.

And back to this year, how many ex-Fla panthers have they brought in? The coach has a big say

LL will not have any choice but to fire him, but it may not happen until after the NYR game on Saturday.

LL also knows that he will be on the hot seat when he fires the coach.

Deboer is the 1st coach that LL has given some stability to for a long time, and for good reason.

LL used to fire coaches all too often. In a matter of fact LL fired one of them (Julien)with 3 games to go and first in the division or maybe even conference (can't remember). This is the only reason Deboer has had such a long leash. When Deboer goes, LL will be the last man standing.

Lou needs to do more than fire. He needs to clean up the D even if it means one at a time. Even though Fayne is more interesting, promising and what the Devil fans want in replace of HAR-VOL, he just might not be that great. I never thought he was a great skater myself but would rather see him in than the clowns. His decision making is better.

A new coach might keep them all in the line up, you never know.

still not nearly as atrocious as with jmac. People forget too quickly what kind of a nightmare it was.
All of Lou's coaches get the long leash nowadays or else the media will feast their eyes on Lou.

Lemaire did LL a favor by coming back the season after LL decided to fill in for Claude Julien's job and take the team over with 3 days to go.

Mac was the assistant who took over when Jaques LeMaire wanted to retire and sped time with his grand kids. LL had no choice but to let Mac rot like an egg. Lou would have been torched. Lou is still trying to rid the concept that he fires too quickly. It takes time.
