A first place finish in the division was long overdue! Of course, there will be expectations that accompany this. That, in and of itself, should not be a bad thing.

Division Champs. I think that's really all that needs to be said.

Nah let's go one step further here:

Sorry but,

Before the season starts, you find out you're going to have ALL the Canadian based teams going up against each other, and only each other.

All the shit talk,

But.....then it sinks in.......

You have to come out of this divisional playoff. Crap!

Would you rather play the Carolina Division, or the Vegas division in the third round. Pitts doesn't play any more games, so it is looking like we will be in the Vegas loop for the third round.

It doesn't matter, we have to beat good teams if we are going to win.

Thought Hutton played a real solid game.

I like physical, shut down D Men. Always battling and standing up for their goalie.

Whoever fills in for Bogosian, assuming he isn't healthy, HAS to play with some vinegar. We have solid D men like Brodie, I really like what Holl has brought. We can't let opponents drive, screen and take liberties in front for any series.

Soupy improves to 17-2-2, Mitch pots #20, Engvall scores in his third straight, Nylander extends his point streak to 7 games.

Lots of positive stats from the win. Most importantly it feels good to finish the Montreal series on the winning end before playing them first round. The Leafs can really crush this team if they bring their A-game with a healthy lineup.

If Andersen comes back, it better damn well be to wear a ball cap!

Looking at the standings, considering 2 games left, the ROW's and goal differential, it's *highly* likely the Leafs overtake Pittsburgh for 4th overall, somewhat likely the Leafs overtake Florida for 3rd overall and 1st/2nd aren't out of reach (but unlikely). Important positioning for the 3rd round if they're lucky enough to be there.

Kerfoot gets at least one breakaway per game almost. A playoff series is short. He could catch fire and pot a few.

Also Engvall is showing he belongs. His physical abilities are incredible to watch. Moves so well and he's big. Just needs to be consistent and bring it everynight.

A place
Why are people surprised we are the most dominant team in the division? The fact that people thought we were going to miss the post season shows the sad, salty mentality of HFboards hate towards the Leafs.

The Kings of the North and the best team in Canada this season. Entirely stupid to argue otherwise.

Jets, habs and sens are just complete garbage if they doubted this team. Especially the blind Jets fans that say they want us in the first round while their team is falling apart at the seams.
