He actually said they had an 86% chance of winning? Glad I used the 2nd intermission to take a dump.

I don’t understand why he’s say that because he of all people should know a hot goalie can really stand on his head. And I do really like his goalie analytics stuff.

But the game was dead even in both shots and goals after the 2nd period.

How the hell does he come up with 86% anyway? I could see 86% or higher if you’re up two goals with five minutes left, the NFL does that dopey ‘chance to win’ metric all the time. But what kind of metric would give the Rangers an 86% of a game that was a virtual coin flip?

Yeah it makes me want to slow the roll on digging at Lafreniere...especially since it seems like the Rangers have the same problem we had the last few years, coaching. They really gotta get someone new in and find out if Lafreniere and Kakko will develop under another coach cause they ain't doing jack now.

I don't want them to develop because I can see the talent *is* there.

But apparently, Quinn is the poor-man's Skeletor on that team right now.

I really have no idea what the lineup is going to look like when everyone is back....

Johnsson-Hughes-Bratt
Sharangovich-Hischier-Palmieri
Zacha-Zajac-Gusev
Wood-McLeod-Bastian

Murray-Severson
Kulikov-Subban
Smith-Vatanen

Blackwood
Dell

I HAVE NO IDEA

That leaves Kuokkanen and Maltsev out of the lineup and they have looked good.

All of them are going to be used. Our schedule is too tight. Its going to be an interesting year on the board because some lineup choices are going to be made just to give guys a night off and to rest and heal.

Valquette said the Rags had an 86% chance of winning during the 2nd intermission.

Lol. Tell me more about the rainbow road again.
can’t wait to rewatch this

and Blackwood is all three of my stars. Our team runs with him. also loved Subbans game tonight, thought he kept it real simple and was very happy when Butcher scored. You could tell he was looking out for him. I liked Butchers game, still looked pretty slow but smart.

Carrick Tennyson was not so great

Didn’t notice Laf at all tonight.

Kakko looked good for the Rags though.

I hate the term “mansplanning” but I’m pretty sure it’s what Valquette is doing to me. Hate hearing him explain basic hockey things so smugly to me.

The rags post-game thread is giving me feelings in my pants.

Everything from Tony wasn't that bad of a guy and they shouldn't have dropped him, straight through Kakko is the best player on the ice every night (3 points in ~11 games).

Oh and apparently Zibanejad has covid, a hernia, hiv, and a torn acl.

And I thought we were some crazy bastards.

Centers and a reasonable blue line win cups.

Fingers crossed.

I would flip Gusev and Sharagovich initially and hopefully that 2nd line can start scoring because they are too talented not to.

For the defense pairings. I think the top 4 are largely set in stone.
Murray-Subban
Smith-Severson

I would go with Kulikov-Vatanen for the bottom pair. Butcher and Carrick as 7th and 8th dman. Tennyson to the taxi squad.

I'd probably move one of Carrick or Tennyson to the taxi squad, and the other I'd send down to Bing to mentor the kids. The only guilt I'd have is sending Carrick to the lower salary just after he had a kid, but hey, it's a business.
