I'm a big Quenneville fan. I thought he should have made the team last year, and I thought he had a pretty strong game last night. The kid has a pretty good shot.

If this Wood mess doesn’t clear up any time soon, Quenneville could be in a very good spot to make the team.

He may well make it anyway, but the uncertainty surrounding Wood certainly must make JQ that much more appealing to the staff. He looked very good last night.

she left MSG, and is now working for the NHL in a different capacity:

Did she leave on her own accord? Or was she squeezed out?

Glad she got a job elsewhere, it relieves me of any guilt from being happy she is gone.

I'm often baffled by how much fans care about things like TG, Amanda, Deb, hot dogs at the concession stand, twitter... media access in general, the stripes on a jersey...

I dunno, I watch the games, I watch the intermissions and post game, it's nice to have someone good at their job running things.

I thought Erika did well.

I often watch without sound. So it doesn't mean much to me. I just feel like I see more without commentary.

EDIT: And in between periods I usually walk away from the television.

i like her voice, it's very sports-y

by the way, having that voice is on the same wavelength as looking pretty
(inherent biases hiring female analysts/reporters), but you don't see anyone complaining about that

Remember Kathryn Tappan when she was on NHL Tonight?

Same thing.

Tappan actually got her start on the local Bruins broadcasts. She was their Deb before moving up the line.

Erika knows hockey. You could see that last night. She was lobbing Greene softball questions during intermission about the effect of all the penalties on getting a look at some of the kids 5 on 5 but Greene wasn’t swinging at them. I thought she adjusted to that very well by following the thread of what he was saying and running with that.
