Krejci now pointless in 4 straight games and -7.

Get this guy some help!
If he needs two wingers of the caliber of Marchand and Pastrnak, I don't think it is realistic for the Bruins to trade for them. Now if the Bruins do decide to go with Marchand-Bergeron and Krejci-Pastrnak pairs, I think they should call up Cehlarik/Bjork and give them a shot with Krejci. I just don't think DeBrusk is a fit with Krejci. Cassidy should either put DeBrusk with Marchand and Bergeron or have DeBrusk man the 3rd line. Marchand and Bergeron can play with anyone. I would like to see Donato, Bjork, and Senyshyn given a shot there. If all of those options fail, then look for a trade.

And what we have seen of Cehlarik in the past at the NHL level has been him setting up plays, getting good scoring looks, and playing well enough a few months ago in preseason to the point it was a joke he didn't make it onto the roster for opening night. The Bs have been incredibly patient with a multitude of non-producers, but have never given Cehlarik a chance. Stupid.

Another 2 points tonight down at prov

Call him up

I don't think he needs wingers of that quality (63/88). I just think he needs legit top6 wingers he has chemistry with. I don't believe he has good chemistry with DeBrusk.

I'd be willing to see Bjork and Krejci again. I mean, we've seen him with Krejci before and it didn't work (and it's frustrating that we just keep going back to lines and combos that don't work), but at least in this case, you could make an argument for a young player developing and changing their game a bit so maybe it would be different this time. Having Pasta (instead of DeBrusk) as the other wing would give it a different look too.

Instead rotating wingers endlessly

Just give Krejci Pasta Marchand, make him earn that 7 mill

Bergeron and Debrusk havent really played together... it maybe good

So DK ain’t working with Debrusk who following some poster ain’t a top 6!. DK with Pastrnak ain’t working either following some posters.... Debrusk and Pastrnak won’t work either, since they do not have chemistry with DK.
Now wingers rotating isn’t the solution. So the only wingers that will work is Marchand..... and if Marchand plays with Pastnak, then DK finds chemistry with Pastrnak! Am I missing somthing.

Well that is something...

Whatever mindless strategy the Bruins have playing Krejci with new wingers nightly or with AHLers won't be successful. Some say hes not trying but I'll say hes trying not to be negative about it

In all seriousness though... How many teams have 2nd line wingers on the same level as Marchand and Pastrnak?

This said... Even though I'm against splitting up Marchand, Bergeron and Pastrnak.

Pair Pasta and Krejci on the 2nd while having Bergeron and Marchand on the first and in all honesty, each pair should be able to carry a line mate.

To a degree, yes. But have them carry 4th liners? Given the bottom 6 is a complete black hole, the expectations for the top 6 have to be a lot higher than other teams.

When the face they elite teams like Washington or Tamapa carrying linemates = playoff sweep for us, you cant just put a 4th line plug in and expect success.

This false narrative about DK's wingers is ridiculous. DeBrusk has one less goal than Bergeron and Marchand. He's very capable of putting the puck in the net. But people go out of their way to excuse Krejci from any culpability when he takes games off, like he has the last 3.

Debrusk is good but he's less than a half a ppg which about the same as Kokaniemi on the habs. Hes producing at a 3rd line rate. It's no coincidence krejci was at 2ppg with Pasta and Marchand who have a higher ceiling than Jake.

Why wouldnt we want 2 ppg Krejci ?

Debrusk is great on the rush and I like him on the power play, but he leaves me wanting more 5 on 5 when they’re in the offensive zone. I don’t think he does a great job supporting his linemates, oftentimes it looks like Krejci doesn’t have options.

That fact he needs star wingers to be successful is getting so old. At 7m a year he should be able to play with the zamboni on his wing.

Trade him to Dallas for Benn

JDB's drop in ppg from last year to this year is because he's not getting assists. His gpg average is way up from .23 last year to .37 this season. Given that DK is a set up man, isn't that what he needs anyway? I'd also attribute the drop in assists from JDB because DK was not scoring any goals earlier in the season. In fact, DK had all of two goals for the first two months of the season. 2 in October and none in November. And you can't put DK not scoring on DeBrusk, can you? I mean shit, DK has 8 games this year alone where he didn't put a single shot on goal.

So I'll say it again. The excuse making for this player is ridiculous. It's always someone's fault he isn't performing. It's never on him for playing like shit. He's a -7 his last 4 games because he's pouting that he isn't playing with Pasta and Marchand any more.

it does seem like krejci has decided that since bergeron is healthy, he can return to the witness protection program.

I think he's still developing but he's being asked to produce a lot with 100 games experience and he's also effected by the hole at RW as Krejci is.

responding to the trade Krejci post above by 40BRUINS, if I was Krejci I'd get a 1000 miles away from the Bruins and go to a team who's focused on winning and doing what it takes to win. Can't take the Bruins seriously with this roster they've assembled. Watching them try and create a top 6 and bottom six is like pulling teeth.

I'm totally fine with Krejci between Marchand and Pastrnak.

If anything, I think DeBrusk needs just as much help as Krejci does. Specifically when it comes to attacking off the rush. Something I believe he missed with Spooner. Again why I don't think Krejci and Pastrnak has worked as a pair. Marchand is the glue that works off both the cycle and the rush. He completes that trio when together IMO. Bergeron's game is adaptable and more diverse.

DeBrusk is scoring at a 30 goal clip this year. He had 6 in 12 playoff games. As a goal scorer, he's certainly top-6 capable. I don't know what to make of the abnormally low assist rate this year, but it doesn't line up with his trends at other levels. Maybe has something to do with the fact that his center, David Krejci, had 1 ES goal over the first two months of the season and the other vacant spot has been a revolving door of 4th liners...

And then DK was put with Pastrnak and Marchand and he started scoring goals. People were so surprised they didn’t know Krejci had a one timer.

If you actually watch the games, you can see that it isn’t Krejci’s fault JD’s assist totals are low, it’s because JD hasn’t made many good plays this year, especially 5 on 5.

I would go with the "I am tired of hearing that Krejci can't find chemistry with players." Maybe it is the fact that when Bergeron is playing, DK just tendings to coast a bit more. A top center like himself should make players around him much better. But it might be a good idea for Cassidy to move Bergeron with Debrusk and see what happens.

I don't think fans want to see Krejci produce with Marchand and Pasta to be honest, at least that's the impression I get.

Throw in the fact that when it comes to playing with a goal scorer both JD and Krejci have been essentially playing shorthanded in the Ozone this season.

I’m on board with splitting the top line and trying Pasta with Krejci and DeBrusk. But they time and not panick at every game. There’s just too much line up changes.

I think fans are just tired of the long list of excuses.... year after year. It's his wingers.... wait no, he's playing though an injury. It's the coach. It's was his hip all along! He's just waiting for the playoffs! Remember 2011? I don't believe his recent dip in play is related to his quality of wingers.

He's been a tease his whole career. I don't know if that two week streak was Krejci's chemistry with Marchand/Pastrnak or him simply being engaged for a few games with new exciting wingers. It's always peaks and valleys with him. Still gets his 15-20 goals and 60 ish points. Maybe he can leach a few extra points playing with those two, but his game won't change.

I still think Marchand is the player who can elevate Krejci's scoring consistency by himself. Get them a goal scoring right shot winger and let Bergeron work his magic with Pastrnak/DeBrusk.

What will happen is that Bergeron will still be effective and produce. And JDB will continue to produce. And when DK takes his usual stretch off, we'll all hear how Pasta and Marchand aren't playing well and how they're wasting DK in between them and should switch Bergeron back to there. And then when Bergeron continues to produce, we'll all get to hear how DK has to play with second tier players again.

It's never David's fault. Everyone in the world is against him and the team hasn't given him anyone to play with.

BTW, when Bergeron came back, they did split up Pasta and Marchand. Bergeron stepped right back in and produced, while DK went MIA. At what point does it stop being everyone's fault but his? He played well for a stretch between Marchand and Pasta because he was motivated. Once Bergeron came back, he lost that desire and reverted to a zombie out there.
