I believe quebec is currently at 18% we got ways to go.

you protect the most vulnerable to die (age, vulnerable health) then you protect the most potential spreaders (Teachers, Police officers,...)...

It'll depends on how the variants acts on the younger population.

It better not be just that. f***ing ridiculous.
Lets leave 90% of everything open, and close gyms where few people go anyways.

What did you expect them to do? After the outbreak in Quebec City they weren’t going to keep gyms open.

what did you really expect them to close?

It's ridiculous if it's only that.....but I guess it wouldn't be the first time.
Dancing around the problem instead of fixing it.....just like our roads.

Sounds like MTL just reverting to what we had before March 26th.

which is where it should have stayed until the summer. Or at least the middle of spring.

the numbers are stable in Montréal and this will keep it this way until more people are vaccinated

I mean it was working before. Why wouldn’t it work again.

Heu..I dont know. Here's a crazy thought, close shit where the spread actually happens?
Gyms been closed for 6 months and our cases have been going up.. but yes yes, closing the gyms is gonna fix this..

While gyms aren’t a huge problem I don’t think the major spreader gym put them in a good light. Really unfortunate.

Doesn't work that way.

Why not keep everything open until they cause a major breakout? That is just asking for it to keep spreading.

Lots of things are closed proactively but again, gyms are blamed here when they shouldn't be.

The changes are extremely insignificant IMO. It's not much so I don't see the point.

Blame the dude in Quebec City. There are close to 300 cases and 20 work outbreaks because of one gym.

Because the variant is much more dominant now than it was two weeks ago.
And the first rise in case when we jumped from 600 to 1000 happened in that time, so it wasn't actually working.
